Single Mini Motorers at the Dragon

I figure I won't be the only lonely person wandering around at the Dragon this year - anyone else living the single life?

I'm flying solo too. I figure the mini will benifit in the twisties minus the weight of a co-pilot. Not to mention all my friends just don't understand the idea of driving 14+ hours to play on 11 miles of road. To steal a saying from my jeep crew..."It's a Mini thing...you wouldn't understand"

I'll be flying solo as well... it's not always a bad thing.
Like not having to spend all of your money on someone else...rather, you spend it on your best friend. (your MINI/mini).

I'll be blessed with an empty seat next to me this year also...thank God!

The blessing part comes from being free more than the lack of weight.

Living near the Atlanta area, I've been able to drive up a few times since the last MOTD and drink in all that beauty as well as focus on noth'in but Gs.

It's been medicine for my soul!
Am looking forward to gettin' up there again more than you know.
Love that Place.

Oh oh me too. I'll be up there with my dad, but he'll have his MINI and his motorcycle (and a motorcycle buddy of his), so I'm sure I'll have some solo time.

Hooray for not having to put up with a passenger complaining about my go-kart-style driving! "I swear, they made it to be driven this way!"

When i make a new friend i always ask them if they love riding rollercoasters?
The answer to that question tells me all i need to know.

Yeah, I thought so too (I'm assuming we're talking about the one we met at the Dragon last year?), but you know what's better for your life Jeremy. Maybe you'll meet someone at the Dragon.

I'll get out of the single's thread now

Actually I hate rollercoasters too. It just seemed like a good example of the sort of ride one would get if one were only riding with me. If the person doesn't like a wild ride...like get car sick ...maybe they'd better not ride shotgun with me.

A girlfriend and I went to the fall dragon. She's a real trooper...loved every twist and turn. She'll always be a great friend o'mine.

I simply must drive if at all possible. Will ride ya know...just would rather do da thing than watch da thing, if ya know what I mean.

And I'm hoping to meet someone there! Who better than a fellow Miniac?

Her "rocking" was a face she puts on for public. In reality the past 6 months of my life have been miserable. I just retreat into the back room and play Warcraft to evade her wrath. She's moving out shortly. Not soon enough.

Last year at the Dragon I was in the middle of a breakup after 3+ years...... it had been pretty crappy for a number of months..... I met some good people at the Dragon including, from Atlanta, Liz W and her mother Joan who I continue to be good friends with...... I was greatful that the Dragon experience was there at that time when I needed some diversion. (This year I am coming with a "new friend" I have been dating over 6 months, we are having a great time together.) Breakups suck even when they need to happen..... this I know too well..... Your car is hard to miss.... I remember it from last year..... I'll make sure to say "hi"

Breakups are hard. Even if they do happen to be mutual. I've so far managed to avoid another one for about 3 years. It's been better that way, but i'm getting close to wanting to change that pattern. It wouldn't be a bad thing to hang out one night/day with fellow single people who aren't going to be talking about their current relationships and all that nonsense... Well you all sound like a fun group. Plus singles can be more wild and crazy and not have to worry so much about the consequences.

Sign me up.. I'm not single, but I like hangin gout with singles.. they're more fun.. screw consequences, we're only here for a short stint anyways..

...I'm not a "when the cat's away the mice will play" kinda guy... but some nice flirting is always fun... we're both huge flirts.. she'll be down in FL partying her a$$ off and I'll be at the Dragon, hopefully doing the same..

I'm just looking for a somewhat younger and spunkier crew to hang with.. nothing more, nothing less..
