well the truth is that people who are anti mac are ignorant of them or had a bad experience at some point...so to each their own. aside from the computers themselves, you have to admit apple has a very colorful and ineresting history behind it.

I am fluent in both Mac and PC, but for my personal preferences I use my g5. I am also a music person, so I have garage band and Logic Express, but I am thinking about upgrading to Logic Pro soon (if I can ever get myself over the price, $1,000!)

I grew up with pc's and I am also fluent in both. Mac is a great computer for designers, music, and video professions. Aswell as for the person who likes to dabble in it on the side. http://www.wickedlysmart.com/skyler/...wticherQT2.mov Check out this link...it's hilarious

i would like to have one of each, but i don't think i would trade my PC for a mac, just because i can do some things on a PC that aren't compatible wiht a mac.

Not anymore, if you buy one of the new macs with intel processors, and download OS 10.6 you can run Windows Xp on your mac

So you've gone and spent the money on a MAc to make it a PC?

Yes I do. Last time I heard the phrase "paste-up artist" was in 1995, but those skills have come in handy every day since. I still use xactos on my drawing table at home and at work. OS wise, everybody else in the building uses the main server with their windows machines, and spends the day chasing ques and reports and hot ques and instant messages. I am blissfully out of the loop. (I'm the guy who does the color catalogs.) Att'n, graphics majors: I LOVE MY JOB!

So like where are all the single people staying? Reason I ask is: i didnt make reservations because the mini is still not finished, and I am not sure if it will be done in time! All I am waiting for is injectors and dyno time. Not sure if it will happen before then, but I can always bring the TT, it would still be fun, but just not the same as the tc mini!

btw single....dont know a soul either...none...no one...nobody...nada
anyone coming down through or from PA. Central PA here.....

can't complain about a 2-bedroom condo. and it was only $10 more than some other rental cabins.

Glad y'all got back on topic. No need to talk about boring stuff like that.

So we are meeting after the Welcome Dinner at the Fontana Adventure Center, correct?

Good thing it's somewhat close to where i'm staying - I may have to walk back.

That was the first problem I'd had with the computer for a long time, and was just Outlook acting up because my router is funky. Dells are nice and stable.

I'm staying in the Inn as well.

I think I'm staying at one of the Fontana cabins. Not sure though. And I'm definitely in for Thursday night.
