If anyone can get their hands on some Deschutes Mirror Pond Ale from Oregon. . . it is nectar from the gods.

I can bring a variety from Edenton Brewing Company.

I'll add Deschutes to the list of "needed" beers and will put you down for bringing a variety from Edenton Brewing Company. Raleigh, NC right?

I'm in (hopefully!)

I'm planning on making MotD in '06, and a beer swap would be great fun. If anyone's coming from NY, I'd loooove some Ithaca Beer (Nut Brown, Cascazilla, or some Apricot Wheat for my wife). If I get back there close enough to MotD, I'll bring some myself. I'll be coming from Indianapolis, and can take requests from here!

Blalor, is "Ithaca Beer" the name of the maker or just where its from? I need to add it to the list of desired beers. Closer to MOTD I'll be posting the list of beers we need but don't yet have a committment for. What local beers can you bring from Indi?

Both. :-) I think they're technically the "Ithaca Beer and Soda Co.", now, but just "Ithaca Beer" is fine. They also make several fantastic sodas.

The owner's a friend, but I don't get back much... :-(

The Broad Ripple Brewpub has some very good beers, but I think they're only available in growlers. Upland is an Indiana brewer and also has several good ones. I'll take a look the next time I'm in the store and see what else is non-mainstream.

Ok, I have your request down as well as your offer to bring beer from Indiana.

That makes 11 people.

The cabin is open everyday around 4 PM. If you can’t make the beer swap on Thursday, then come join the fun on Friday, but be warned that the Off Topic band performs Saturday night so any beer swap might end up spilling outside to the fire pit.

I told Matt I’d bring him a 12 pack of Yuengling other than that Ft Walton Beach, Fl is not the hot bed of home and micro brew beers so I have nothing exotic to offer. I will have a selection of domestics and imports at the MKO / OT headquarters for people to enjoy. Not to mention Clover never disappoints when it comes to food and snacks for everyone to enjoy.

I'll probably be asking you to bring more than that as long as you can fit it into the MINI. I'll be happy to send you the funds in advance.

There "Final Absolution Trippel" is 8.5%! and it's rather tasty too . i might be able to fit a 1/4 barrle net to the DT tool box and jacks. but i can tell you this stuff is not cheap. http://www.dragonmead.com/Menu_Items.htm

As you know Chad, I work just down the street . Maybe my MINI could become the official beer wagon But maybe we should sample all the goods first to narrow down the selection

That sounds like a win win type of plan.

Count me on on the beer swap! I'm in NY and can definetly (at least right now) pick up some Ithaca stuff. Also, Dogfish head is pretty readily available too. Plus more, just ask! If anyone's coming from Michigan - Bells and Founders would be great - and CA: Alesmith beers? This sounds like great fun!

Spotted this weekend were Oaken Barrel (Greenwood) and Upland (Bloomington), from the Indianapolis area. There's also a Chicago brewery that has stuff available here.

Apop, I have you down as bringing some beers from NY. Won't worry about which type for now.

Agokart is already bringing Bell's and I'll add Founder's to the request list.

Blalor, maybe you should jot down those beers so closer to the time you can look at your list and see what you want to bring.

Much closer to the event will get down to the nitty gritty of who's bringing what and how much.

I'm coming from Grand Rapids so I can bring the Founders. I like the IPA best especially on draft. I can also get the Bells if it is inconvenient for Chad. What are the preferences? Any other good microbrewed IPAs out there?

I'll add you and founders to the list Driskill.

A reminder to all, about 2 months prior to the Dragon I'll be posting everyone's names and the beers they said they are willing to bring. We can work out any final details then.

Matt

I already saw someone mention Shiner Bock from Texas! YUM! And I was gonna bring that straight from Dallas!

I could migrate my beer purchase a bit south to Mexico... Negro Modello anyone?

Yuengling is also sold in alabama. here there is a 6% abv and container size limits. limits selection greatly. some of the best beer around is made in delaware and im pretty sure sold in maryland. anything from dogfish breweries. check out their website. their 90 min IPA(9% abv) is great. they sell some expensive 18 qnd 20% abv beers as well. do you notice a trend here?

Can't you get Negro Modello everywhere? So will you be bringing anything agranger? If so I'll add you to the list.

Just found this thread today. LOVE THE IDEA!

We're coming from Chicago and Milwaukee. Any ideas or suggestions as to what I can bring? I'm very fond of Point beer but there a loads of breweries around to choose from. I might even be able to help fill the request for the beer from Kalamazoo. Let me know!

Just name some local/regional beers from the area and I'll check to see if we have them covered already. Then I can add you to the list with whatever you'll bring.
