Yes, it is! But it would be great for rack of lamb and other tasty goodies! I just liked the Dragon Burner aspect.....had to post such a pricey cooking accessory.

HEY, THAT'S MY MASTERCARD NUMBER! ... Only the name on it is C. B. Hackenbush!

All this "Talk Of The Dragon" is really taking the edge off of the dread of winter as it approaches. Supposed to snow here later this week.

In-eye, if you're gonna be at the Dragon Friday and Saturday, I will work my schedule accordingly.

When engaging in identity theft I am a gentleman. I would never give all information in a public forum. Therefore, I pm-d Clover with the accurate name so the riff raff would not be able to suck the ample teat of your platinum card limit.

Your last paragraph sent me scrambling to look for my registration confirmation. If I don't find it I will call to verify (and see if I can switch to the now available cabins ). My ego is just shallow enough that I will interpret by "schedule accordingly" to mean overlapping rather than avoiding time I am there.

I too wonder what I meant by "schedule accordingly"...

Mmmmm... Can you be tolerant of a humble, but sincere, broken down, ukulele player who hasn't got a friend in this world, who's lost his pride, his integrity, his virginity and his scout knife? Can you even be in the same forest with a guy who's never shown his MINI on NAM, who's undergrad gpa was a paltry 3.2, who can't name two pitchers playing pro ball, who needs the lights on to use a keyboard and usually smells like wet dog?

... Now that I read all that, I sound better than I thought!

I'd say lot can stay in Bumpass, but i don't know how well that would go over with the parental unit.

After reading Coopdawgs post and some of the others, I'm not sure its such a good idea to introduce the wife to you ruffians. I will have to spend the whole week explaining some of your "eccentic" behaviours. She doesn't follow NAM at all and has NO idea what kind of loonies inhabit this place. Although I think her and Clo would get along fine (food, cheese, chocolate) it would be kinda hard to explain a Uke playing beagle or a Mad Proffesor from the great state of Ioway. Not to mention Barbie or a Bear that doles out advice. I'd have to keep her away from Lot. She likes the manly outdoor types. Just too much to cram into a few days.:impatient

Anyone who smells like wet dog can't be all that bad  I'll teach you the names of the pitchers

The earlier one gets to the Dragon, the better. That way, drives can be at one's leisure, with out trying to blend into a pack of 200 other cars. That's why I intend on getting down there the 1st of May, before the hordes arrive...
BTW UK, if the voices in my head weren't so loud today, I'd give you a piece of my tiny mind for calling us "loonies". It would be a piece I could ill afford anyway.

Doesn't "loonies" mean something completely different in lot15's neck of the woods?

I'm not sure how that would go over with the Lotal unit either.

CooperBeagle, my ever so humble friend, we have exactly the same undergraduate gradepoint, 3.2. I bet I had to crawl back from further down than you though. I only got a 1.58 my first semester and only that high due to the gift of a courtesy D from a science professor.

Also, I found the missing confirmation letter. "Teresa Fontanavillagereservations" (I think it's a Swedish name) tells me I have a room for three nights, beginning Thursday May 4th and departing on Sunday May 7th. Please "schedule accordingly" but keep in mind I'd love to sing a rousing Waltzing Matilda with you.

I note too that "Pets are allowed in cabins for a $100 fee and special arrangements with reservations". So, Lot is coming all this way and his navigator must pay a surcharge merely because she is a dog???? This just isn't right. Therefore, I propose Ruby be given the Distinguished Navigator award. In addition to the medal for her collar, I move that she be the guest of all. I hereby put forward $10 toward that fundraising goal. Now will nine other good souls match me?

Lotsie will very likely refuse payment. It's sort of a humble accept nothing Canadian thing. We can either implant it on him after sndwave clubs him, or simply buy him enough drinks, smokes, bling etc. from the account to compensate.

1.58... and you're now a professor?!?! That cracks me up. I hope you retaliate by giving all of your students D's. My undergrad gpa was higher than both you AND cooperbeagles, so THERE.

I am thinking I might attend the dragon this may... especially if it means i get to hang with my favorite miniacs- Clo, ini, lot, haf, et al. what do you guys think? Oscar wants to come as well, but he doesn't have the rent $$$. If you're raising funds for lot's navigator, Oscar begs you all to break a piece of in the name of your favorite feline. HAHAHA!

He's actually a good traveller in the MINI, though. He is my toonces.

I also have a friend who's a professor in San Marcos who got a full ride academic scholarship, then partied so hard he got below a 1.00 and flunked out. We both had too much fun. To steal a line fed from you, Spoonie, why to you hate fun?

Yes, yes, (as I do my dance of joy) come and join us!!! In fact, bring Oscar aka "Tunces" and I am good for a full $25 - a full 1/4 of the discrimination cost against cats - toward his lodging. I am serious. Ball's in your court, Deja.

Spoonie, I love you, but I'm not funding your cat... It's against everything I sit for.

I'm in for $10 for Ruby though! And I'm willing to send by snail mail ahead of time. We can have a snail race to see who's lot gets first. Say "who's lot gets first aloud... sounds funny.)

In-eye we shall sing 'til Matilda drops from exhaustion! I have a Dean Markley surface pick up I use for the ukes and can bring a PigNose amp. (Actually, we likely can get electricity from the cabin, right?) Anyway, I forget, is this called the "I Really Suck at Guitar" concert? Or do we have a special name?...

BWAHAHAHA, score! I didn't realize it was so EARLY in may though. I have a wedding the weekend before and finals are may 1-5! I'll have to see what days my classes are scheduled though, hopefully I will be able to make it! Should I go ahead and reserve a room? Will they charge me if I have to cancel?

Spoonie, do go ahead and get lodging at www.fontanavillage.com Call and ask for the MINI Cooper Club discount. If you cannot keep the reservation, some panicking last-minute MINI folks are more than likely to want you to transfer it over to them.

As for school schedules, one approach is to request early testing because you are going to be in a family wedding. I know for a fact that several NAMers have requested taking early exams and their schools obliged. If you do it immediately at the beginning of the quarter/semester, it will go over better, too!

And to answer CooperBeagle's question, yes there is electricity in the Off Topic Lounge cabin....LOL! The whole area was the lodging for the TVA to electrify the South, silly!

Love that piccie of Oscar as Toonces....what a beauty he is!
