Saw this icon that looks a bit like a SIM card with an exclamation point at the bottom of the screen the last few days. Any idea what this is trying to tell me?

Wants your credit card with a chip, so it can charge you a subscription to use your new MINI interface.

Really, I don't know, but am curious what it is, haha.

Thanks. Any idea how to do this? Apparently the car comes with a trial period of a WiFi hotspot?

Actually, I found that the missing SIM card icon relates to using an iPod Touch over Bluetooth. For some reason, this only works when the "music" and "phone" connections are both selected. The Touch has no SIM. I still don't have a USB audio option anywhere in the OS, even after the recent 07/2024.40 OTA update.

It seems like the missing SIM card icon appears because you’re using an iPod Touch with Bluetooth. This happens because the "music" and "phone" connections need to be selected together. Since the iPod Touch doesn’t have a SIM card, that icon is not needed. As for the USB audio option, it looks like it’s still not available even after the July 2024 update. USB Audio depends of type of hardware in your car, not depending of software.

USB Audio (USB logo), USB Power (no USB logo).
USB Audio (USB logo), USB Power (no USB logo).

Yes, and too bad the hardware USB upgrade doesn’t seem to support iPod playback, as per the other thread here.
