Cigar Sampling on the Dragon!
I'm bringing two boxes of Habanos
...one mild, one medium...for ya to sample, and I'll have some other cigars as well as cutters around, too. Don't worry, they are all legal
as well as authentic. While the cubanos are NOT the well-known ones, they are good-tasting anyway.
Since we are celebrating Cinco de Mayo as well, I'll bring something with a Latin flavor in a liquid form...just don't stand up too quickly!

I know...it is terribly ironic...

Hey Everyone!
Im going to try and make it down this year, now that I have my MINI! I love to smoke a cigar occasionally, but i always go on the recommendation of my local tobacco purveyor so Im not much of an expert! I do love it though! And I try to stay away from anything too cheap.
As long as my finals schedule works out, I will definitely be motoring down for the action! Hope to see you all there, cigars in hand!
btw, Clo, what can I bring along?? I dont want to show up empty handed. something liquid perhaps?

MINIclo invited me to post this information on the PROPER thread, as I was posting information about REAL drinks on the "beer" thread: the sticky for Dragon updates!! hah....
anyways, here goes....
now for the ON topic part of my post.... you guys are literally just a few weeks short posting the idea of wanting to do Cigar Sampling - why? My parents just moved down from the house I did most of my growing up in, and across the street lived PAUL GARMIRIAN, the man behind the letters PG!
http://www.pgcigars.com/
His two daughters went to high school with me, and until my last year of high school, I had NO idea who he was! I just thought he was another one of the rich, snobby people that lived in my town of McLean, VA because he had at least 10 cars parked outside his house at any given time to clear room for the 74 Ferrari and newer model Porsche 911 in the garage....
Since then I've smoked all the cigars he gave me in a huge box he had at his house for personal use, but still have the box! I'll stock it up of some good PG's and bring them to the Dragon so we can enjoy some "homestyle" Dominican cigars.....
anyways, here goes....
Sorry for adding to this thread getting so far off topic, but....
is anyone interested in bringing LIQUOR? I heard a lot about beer, but considering this weekend will be my celebration weekend for graduating from Clemson University after a LONG 5 years, I know I'll have to have a real drink....
the reason I ask is because my girlfriend is a certified bartender, and doesn't drink much (the reason why its okay for us to party in Fontana and her driving me back to Robbinsville for our hotel at the Microtel!) If anyone is interested in bringing drinks and mixers, she's always willing to do what she does best - okay, second best - and make some good drinks for anyone interested!
let me know here or if we are actually trying to get this a little back on topic, PM me.... please note that she WILL be checking IDs for anyone she makes drinks for if you are under or around the age of 27 - we are BIG advocates for "No fun if you are under 21!"

Paul Garmirian drives a 2002 DS/W MCS!!!!
I saw it up the road about a year before I bought my car, and loved the colors.... he forgot to add bonnet stripes, and noticed how goofy (no offense if you forgot them too) the MINI looked without them, so I made sure to add mine!
I ordered my car and he came by to congradulate me! He doesn't have any modifications to his, so the conversation was pretty short.... hah....
But yeah, I thought I would add that PG has a MINI.... a true cigar afficionado has a true drivers car - you know, an MCS with THREE pedals instead of just TWO....
(no flames, please..... just stating the facts....)

Favorite Cigars
Cubanas: Monte #2's, 3's and 4's. Hoya de Monterray Corona de Corona
Dominican/Honduran: Romeo and Julietta Churchills, Fuente 858's (Great Value). Macanudo Vintage VI
There are many, many great Cigars. The selection and enjoyment also depend on the mood and accompanying drink. For example. I like a milder smoke like the Vintage with a nice Red Wine or Grey Goose. A Monte Christo Platinum is border line harsh with a strong finish, but goes very well with a cognac. See you all there.
