Dragon 2005 Questions

I am new to the MINI community and have a couple of questions about the Dragon 2005 event.

Is there a posted itinerary of events anywhere? I am looking to come, but would like to come in on Friday night and stay through Sunday afternoon. Then again, I don't want to miss anything really important (on Thursday or Monday).

Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!!!

You will probably see an 'official' type of list as we get closer. Usually the welcome dinner is held on Thursday night and the 'main' run is scheduled for Friday during the day.

Ok, so it sounds like I really want to be there on Thursday night. That's what I really needed to know.

Thanks!

If you read through this forums threads you will see different events that are being planned for the 2005 event. It’s a little early to have everything listed by time and date, but as David said it will be listed as the date gets closer.

A few things people like to do are the welcome dinner and the midnight run, but many other things are still being worked out.

From Tail of the Dragon.com
THURSDAY DEC 23: A 3.0 mag earthquake hit 13 miles sw of the Dragon at 1:54 AM. No damage resulted. Real cold here in the mountains, but it looks like some warming from the 26th-28th.
Check this out, the Dragon is restless!

Need to find another set of lighted valve caps the ones from last year didn't survive very long. I think the switches got stuck.

Maybe I'll get some litecubes as well... hmmmm...

How many runs will you make?

Not counting the Friday run or the Saturday Midnight run, how many runs do you think you'll make? I know I'll want to do it atleast once or twice before Friday, then a few more on Saturday... and I'm sure I'd want to it again before I leave sometime on Sunday.

As many as YOU want. There are really only two organized runs, but you are free to make as many or as few runs as you want.

Some people will spend hours out there, some hours just running one section. Others will make one or both of the organized runs and spend the rest of the time socializing at Fontana. Others may try some of the other drives...
