I already have the pulley etc, but would be seriously interested in a rear anti-sway bar installation. Would Eric consider that?

I sent an email to Eric and he responded that he would consider doing other mods (like a sway bar), but he'd need to bring more tools. So it seems like he's open minded about it... IF there is interest. Send him an email at the above link.

Eric says he's good with the swaybar install, so put me down - at some time, if possible, that won't conflict with other scheduled events (or my crew may put the kibbosh on the whole deal!). I don't suppose the swaybar install would take as much time as a pulley job.
Thanks!

I will add you to the list. When the registration system comes online, we will all work out the times we each one.

Thanks!

Everyone - per Eric's request I've set up the official RSVP for attending the pulley party. When filling out the form be sure to indicate if you would like other items installed like an intake, GIAC, etc.

Please click HERE to get your name in the party. You can also find the RSVP under the Event Planner in the MOTD area.

Thanks!

Mark

Hi All:

I just read through the thread and see that I need to clear up a couple of things. Our regular shop price for the pulley installed is $385. I told Mark that I wanted $400 for the job--I was considering the extra $15 the lying-on-my-back-using-hand-tools fee. But I had already quoted $385 earlier, so (although I hate to be a man of my word ) I'll stick to that price.

I also noticed that Mark's sign up is full. I will contact him today to ask him to expand the list, or if he can't just contact me: we'll figure out a way to make your car fun at the Dragon. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call me at 215 739 8800. I'll keep my eye on this thread as well. Cheers.

Per Eric two more slots have been added to the pulley party as well as the prices adjusted to meet what had been provided earlier. Be sure to RSVP by clicking HERE.

You'll need to follow up with Eric at Helix as he is the master of the schedule. I believe he was to follow up with each of those RSVPing for the party to schedule a time.

Count me in too!

I just signed up for the pulley install - seems like there is only 1 spot left. How do I schedule what time to have my MINI there for the install?

I've taken what looks like the last slot for a 17% reduction pulley.. but I have one question- is this easily reversible if I should decide to sell the car (or whatever) -?

I was planning to do the Works conversion, but I just don't see it happening anytime in the next couple of years, and I really do want to get a little more power out of the car. It is an 05 built last July with about 4000miles on it, but its my 3rd MINI... any comments or advice??

I know the pulleys that Eric is using are the clamp on style as opposed to the OEM press on style and he is using a two piece assembly (hub and hat). This means multiple things.

1.) Easier to install. You do not need to heat up the pulley to install like OEM
2.) Easier to change. Since the hat controls the size and it is separate from the hub, it can removed and exchanged.

I would assume that the press on would be easier to remove then OEM as well, but I have not heard of anyone doing that. Hope that helps.

I have another question... which I think is obvious, but I'm not 100% sure..
does the 19% pulley deliver more power than the 15% -? ie is that 19% smaller than original vs. 15% smaller making the 19 the smallest and therefore the fastest spinning -?

Yes, the 19% is 4% smaller than the 15%. Smaller means it causes the supercharger to spin faster at a given RPM. Basicly, more spin = more power. There are lots of threads around about the pros and cons of the 19% if you are considering it. Eric has a great deal of information on how to properly utilize a 19% pulley as well. I would recommend a little research prior to that decision if you have not already.

I have found a MINI already with a 15% installed and I purchased it this past Saturday. So I will cancel my reservation for the pulley party. Have fun guys - the 15% rocks! - I can't find a way to unregister for this event so please take my name off the list to allow someone else to get on the event.

Well what luck! So will you be bringing your new MINI to the Dragon?
