Unhappy Sad Day

Sad to report that our 2019 SE was involved in an accident and declared a total loss in December.
Fortunately no one was injured. Not a single scratch. Kudos to Mini/BMW for designing and building a really safe small car.

Once the body shop finished the visible repair estimate, the damage underneath to the frame and hybrid electrical system sent it past the repair threshold.
BTW, the headlamp assemble was over $2k and by far the single most expensive item to replace.

Not sure what the next vehicle will be; have been going between a non hybrid Mini Countryman and a Mini Convertible, or another Volvo XC60.

I'm glad that your car kept you safe! Don't be in a rush to buy a more "sensible" car. There's a certain panache and fun factor in your MINI that you would sorely miss with that Volvo. Keep your choice in the family and you won't regret it!

Glad nobody was hurt. Cars are easily replaced...people, not so much.
