Ok guys. Got my eye on 2 F60 countryman cars, one with driving modes and one without. The one without is a 2019 plate with nav plus pack and larger screen. I would like to know if it is possible to retrofit just a single switch for the driving modes or would I need the complete switch console. Can't for the life of me find a used console so might have to locate a new part. Any help would be appreciated

 

Not sure what you are looking for, but, unless it has all the electronics needed, a switch isn't going to help you.

 

Strange response as my post clearly states what I am asking.

On other forums people have stated that cars that don't have mini driving modes can swap the switch console for a fully occupied one and then code the mini modes with the necessary software. My question was is it possible to just fit a single switch and code rather than replace the whole switch unit?

 

Then I didn't understand your question. Strange that you haven't consulted those on the "other forums" to ask how they did it!

 

I have approached those on the other site, they have just swapped over the whole switch module. No one has actually added an extra switch to the existing console and as this is a direct F60 forum I thought I would ask here?
