I'm looking for a document referenced in the instructions on retrofitting a trailer hitch to the F60 Countryman (attached)

It's regarding an additional fan and cowling, and it says "The fan cowl and fan will need to be replaced on various cars. If you do not replace the electric fan, the towing capacity will be reduced and the engine may stop". I obviously don't want that to happen, but I can't find the document, or any detail on whether or not my car needs this fan on the internet.

Can anyone help?

 

Google search turns up two documents that reference the EPC HG 17 document you seek but no link to the actual document.
All I have to offer is you visit a MINI dealer parts department and ask if the document you seek is available.

Found it. Apparently the only vehicle it applies to is the cooper S. From local mini dealer:
"The fan for the cooper s with trailer prep package is 17427617611
