Rear Hatch Pull Strap

Just purchased a 2023 Countryman S All4. Has anyone done or seen a pull strap for the hatch? My wife is short and can’t easily reach the the recessed area in the hatch to pull it down. There aren’t any obvious spots to attach it. There are 2 screws in the rectangular slot for the safety triangle but they don’t look heavy enough.

hmm you’d probably want to attach to something that has contact to the metal frame of the hatch.

I assume you don’t have the automatically open/close tailgate feature… but do you have the ability to lower the opening height? On my 2022 I can set it to be lower in the open position so it doesn’t hit my garage door.

+1 that can be adjusted if auto.

If manual yes you will need a strap.

Also if you have the auto open/close i believe they have the close inside or use the key or the foot method
