F60 2017 Manual Transmission Stutter
2017 Manual Transmission Stutter
Hi all,
I've been noticing an issue with my 2017 F60 manual that I describe as a hiccup or stutter while accelerating. It almost seems like there is a cylinder misfire (common occurrence in my 2014 countryman). It occurs most often in 2nd gear around 3700rpm after the clutch has been fully engaged and the car is well on its way. It seems to happen as you increase pressure on the accelerator. I've replicated the issue with a service tech in the car. The dealer replaced the clutch, pressure plate and flywall and reset the computer over several trips in for service and its still happening. During the shutdown here in NY, the dealers were not open for ride along test drives and even afterwards, the mini usa field inspectors were not making site visits. The field inspector came to the dealer today and the only thing he commented on was an input error denoting not enough throttle as the clutch was being let off and that the car is operating as designed. This doesn't sound right to me, but I fear I don't have much recourse and it is incredibly annoying to drive the car with this. My maintenance plan expires at the end of this month and I'm debating if its even worth it to keep the car at this point.
I was wondering if anyone has experienced a similar issue or could point me to any threads or information that could assist me. Also, any advice would be appreciated. I'm doing some of my own research into the NYS lemon law, if anyone can provide some tips there that would be helpful as well.
Thanks!
