F60 Failed battery
Failed battery
My wife has a 2017 Countryman S. This afternoon it would not start for her. When I got there, I jumped it with my F56, and it started. I let it run for a while, then shut it off. It would not start again. I jumped it again to restart. I then drove it home. It lost the date/time, but radio stations were fine. I pulled in the garage, shut it off, waited about 5 minutes and it restarted without issue. I went back out an hour later, and notthing. It actually tried, but not enough power. Clearly, a bad battery. Hard to believe as it is just over 2 years old. Has anyone else seen premature battery failures? Now my real question. how the heck do I remove the battery? I took off the plastic covers on top and removed the connections, but I cannot get the battery to budge. It is like it is bolted down. I assume I have to take the shrouds off in the front and side of the battery but wanted to ask before making a mess. lol
Thanks
Thanks
btw .. a failed battery is a warranty item .... was at the dealer just this week and asked for a new one cuz of age. Said if it was starting the car I'd have to pay but if I waited for it to fail it was covered . . .

We received a new battery, under warranty, from Mini of Mt Laurel. The regular price was almost $500! We were told the battery had a damaged cell. As always, the service was great!
