HD Reception

Anyone else had a problem with keeping their HD reception box checked. It works fine once it is selected but after a few days it gets unchecked. This happens with both drivers but at different times. All the presets turn into 153 which is nothing??

Are you using one key or using both keyfobs? Each key has its own profile that loads when you use that key to unlock the car. The profile will store all sorts of personal options that probably include whether HD Radio is on or not. Be cognizant of which key you are using to unlock the car and double check to see if HD Radio is turned on or not. (From Radio, hit the OPTION button on the controller and scroll down to see if "HD RADIO RECEPTION" is checked or not)

Yes, my wife uses one fob and I use the other. We set up our profiles and check the HD Radio option. We select our favorites and it holds those selections for several days, sometime weeks. Then suddenly the HD selections all turn to Channel 153 which is nothing and when I look the HD option is no longer checked. It does not change on both fobs at the same time. Hers may change and mine is still ok but then a few days later mine will be changed also. Haven't taken it back to the dealer yet. Was hoping to find out if this is a wide spread problem or only with mine. Hoping it is only with mine so it can be fixed easily with reprograming or changing out whatever needs to be changed. From the response so far it looks like it might only be with mine?

Gotcha - yeah, it's the first I've heard of it.

Stopped by the dealer on Friday to explain the problem and see if they had a quick fix. Unfortunately the service manager had not seen or heard of the problem. He is going to check with the engineers. I asked if BMW uses the same system and if so maybe he could check with them. He suggested that in the mean time use only one of the key fobs to see if that makes a difference. At least that would eliminate the problem being related to the keys fobs. I don't believe that will make a difference but will give it a try. In case there are others with this problem I will update when I find out more.
