Lodging is easy.

Go to www.CopperColorado.com and at that site, then choose Village then Maps. Everything on the map is walking distance. Frankly, it is 200 yards from the parking structure to Burning Stones Plaza, 200 yards more to Starbucks. You can practically SEE all the lodging from the parking structure, except the East Village down the golf course.

My preference for cheaper and convenient are the hotel rooms.

My preference for nice and cooler are the condos around the Plaza. You don't need to pay for a nicer place to have underground parking out here. Just park in the garage with the rest of us.

But see the maps above. It is *.pdf so download and print. We will have lots of copies of it for you anyway.

They have 3 different "levels" of rooms available. Gold (newest & "best"), Silver, Bronze. Then with each "level" there are 1ROOM,& 1 & 2 bedrooms.

1 Room 1 Room 1 Bedroom 2 Bedroom

Silver 102.00 106.00 125.00 195.00
Bronze 94.00 N/A 108.00 154.00

Just booked a room for 2 in the village at "54 Peaks"! Not bad, $360 for 3 nights, and I'm a 30 second walk from the burning stones plaza.

Perfect.

Anyone else over there?

Hi sand....I have no idea where we're going to be. We reserved (and have now paid in-full) a "gold" package...2 rooms, kitchenette, and sofabed. But we were told that they'll "assign" our specific suite - in one of their lodges - once we arrive.

Does that sound right? I only question it because you seem to already know exactly where you've been assigned.

We're coming an awfully long way. I'd hate to find out that there's "no room at the inn" once we arrive.

I'd give them a call- They pride themselves on their phone customer service, and it shows. I had the village map pulled up and told her where I would like to be, so I'm booked in the 54 peaks building, I just don't know what room yet until checkin. Just let the cust serv rep know that you are travelling a long way and you would like to be in close proximity to the prkg structure and burning stones plaza to have the most enjoyable experience. She may just tell you which building you're already booked in, then you can check it out on the map: http://media.intrawest.com/copper/co...map/index.html

We called today. We confirmed our reservation and that payment's been received. No worries. Apparently, you can get your exact building assignment for a 10% surcharge? I'm not willing to pay more than I already have. I have a reservation. Payment has been made. We're good to go and very excited. After 16-18 hours of driving, I'll just be happy for a shower and some sleep.

Can't wait to meet everyone and enjoy a terrific weekend!

Yep; 10% surcharge, to be guaranteed a specific building.

I just checked with them. It seems that our room has been taken off the rental list (I didn't realize these rooms were privately owned!), and they had already given us a free upgrade from the previous Bronze unit to a Silver.

Since I'll be lugging a pile of heavy shift ***** back and forth (unless you folks hurry up and buy them all! ) I coughed up the extra bucks to be guaranteed a room at the Copper Mountain Inn, not far from the parking structure.

I'm in the 'budget' lodging...I wonder what building that is in? Haha. For some reason I'm imagining a broom closet or something...

Not a broom closet at all

Think 'college dorm'.

On the Copper Village Summer map (www.coppercolorado.com) it is in building 45.

Dorm rooms are cool. But there are nice dorm rooms (Michigan Tech - very nice, with a nice sink/vanity area w/a mini fridge and a bathroom not in the picture)

And prison-cell type dorm rooms (this college shall remain unnamed)

All I need is a bed.

For you Starbucks fans...

there are actually TWO to choose from:

Right in the resort (just go thru Burning Stones Plaza, across the bridge, and you are there) or right at the exit to Copper Mountain from I-70 (attached to the Conoco station).

Either way, have it your way....
  • Raspberry Mocha Frappuchino blended coffee
  • Coffee, iced Coffee
  • Tea, iced tea
  • Latte
  • Cappucino
  • Carmel Macchiato
  • Mocha, White Mocha
  • Nonfat, low fat, breve, soy
  • Wet, Dry, Whipped, Extra Hot
and more. Suit yourselves.

Tens of Thousands

Best Bet: Go to www.TownOfFrisco.com and surf there for restaurants and such. There are a few on Main St. and that is where we will be doing our 'Farewell' on Sunday AM. Not that you cannot go there anytime.

Otherwise, Vail, Leadville, Dillon and Silverthorne are the closest towns - all within 30 miles and all places you will go by. They have them too....

Let's see if we can't get a few nominations right here.

I like "Badass Coffee", if only for the name.

Only one in CO appears to be in Greeley, though.

Upon doing a quick search

I find the following in Frisco, CO: (town nearest Copper)

6 Coffee Shops
19 Bike Shops
22 Snowboard and Ski Shops
29 places to get massage, mental health help, or just some assistance

Well whaddaya know.
