A/c has stopped cooling

I have a 2013 mini Cooper countryman I bought brand new and have had very little trouble with the little car, Its got 131k on the clock so far. My problem is the AC has stopped cooling, it was a gradual thing slowly tapering off like it was low on refrigerant not all at once like the compressor died. I recovered all the refrigerant and it had the correct amount in it so I pulled a quick vacuum and recharge the correct amount back into it to no avail. The compressor doesn't run at all but is clean and isn't covered in clutch dust or oil like most are and turns freely by hand so it's not siezed. I'm assuming that since the freon level is ok and the compressor seems ok that I have some sort of module issue however, I scanned the HVAC module with my hoity toity snap on scanner and got nothing. Anyone got any ideas? Everything else seems to work fine, heat, fan and defrost are all working and blend doors all seem to be switching modes like they should. I don't want to take it to the dealership if I can help it, the few times I have they fix one thing and ****** up three more but the AC needs to work. Sorry for the extra long post but I like to give all the details I can to help people help me. Thanks for any help you guys can offer!

Have you tried to test and put direct power to the clutch to engage and verify that aspect?

No, I didn't think to bring my good old power probe home I will try that tomorrow after work but that was my next course of action. I don't know about mini but semi trucks are bad to burn out the electromagnetic coil in the clutch and render the compressor inoperable.

So this afternoon I hooked up my power probe and I'm getting power and ground to the compressor but if I connect my power probe to the compressor and apply power I get nothing... So now I get to replace a compressor which looks fairly easy but I've been fooled by this car before! I think while I've got the belt off I'll do the water pump and the little disk that drives it since they've never been replaced.
