R60 Lift Warning Indicator
Lift Warning Indicator
Lift Warning Indicator
I’m a new registered member of the forum, although I’ve been reading many of the post for about a year. My wife drives a 2015 Cooper S Countryman and has all of a sudden come up with a yellow car on the lift warning indicator. (see the above pic) I looked in the owner’s manual and it says that it could one of three things. (1) Brake light control fail, (2) Fuel supply is malfunctioning, or (3) Drive malfunctioning. What I’m needing is how do I determine which problem I have?
Even though I know it’s unrelated, I also have the ac/heater fan intermittently only working in low speeds and when all this is going on the comfort access button on the door handle will not work.
I know the fan problem is more than likely the fan resistor going bad, but does the comfort button have anything to do with the warning indicator?
That indicator is a service indicator. Use the stalk button to scroll through and you'll see which service is needed. I think that is for "inspection". There is a separate one for front brakes, rear brakes, oil change, and emissions as well.
Usually when service is required the "service" indicator comes on. We purchased the 100K service agreement when we bought the car new and have never missed a service interval. If service is required, why would not the "service" indicator come on? The comfort entry button not working corresponds with the Mini on a lift warning indicator. This is intermittent and I can't really narrow down when it will happen. I just changed the battery in the key fob, thinking maybe that might be the issue. We will see.
