DRL Coding

Hi all, my wife and I just got another Mini after 3 years without owning one, it is a 2014 R60 JCW and I do not like the way the DRL’s function with all the front side and tear lights no on at once. I would prefer only the city lights being illuminated as DRL’s. I have read the only way to do this is to change the settings with a coding program. I know there is bimmercode but that doesn’t support the R range of Mini’s. Is the NCS program and Carly the only two out there, or is there more that I am missing? If not, are dealerships able to do it? I think NCS is a bit more than I want to get into and I am really not a fan of the Carly yearly fees. If I went with Carly and pay for the year then turn the auto renew off, after the year would I lose all the coding I’ve done to date, or would I just not be able to do more?

Yes it's either NCSExpert or Carly. I've never used Carly mainly due to the cost, and I'm already set up to do coding via NCSExpert, just haven't had the opportunity to actually do it.

I just ordered a Carista dongle. I’ve read good things about the app(except the $40/yr cost).
