2014 All4 S auto start button

Question, On my 2014 automatic when I start the vehicle I have to hold the start button down until it starts. My friend with a 2013 R56 just pushes button briefly and it starts. Is it normal for Countryman to do this? I believe both my 2013 Justa Countryman and now the 14 All4 S did it the same way. The only difference on the all4 is I have the press brake to start coded off. What is everyone else doing? One touch or hold down?

Thanks in advance

When I bought my '15 all4 CM, I had an instant start but had to hold down the brake. I had it coded so now I don't have to depress the brake when push starting. The trade off is now I have to hold the button down longer, which my coder said was the only drawback. I'm fine with it.

That's what I thought but couldn't remember, I have CRS. Thanks!
