What is this piece called and can it be switched with another color?
Sorry..couldn't find anything in the forum about this.
But what's the official name for this piece and is it easily swapped out?

It's called a side scuttle and I've no idea if it can be swapped.

There are replacement side scuttles available in chrome. Many here have also painted, Plastidipped, or vinyl-wrapped theirs. Search for "side scuttles" and you should find more info.

You could also buy the silver side scuttles from a non-"S" Countryman but then you would be taking the orange side markers.

They can be swapped out and painted. Mine is piano black or glossy black.
