I saw the same item and was about to purchase it as well. I was very askance as the price was almost too good to be true, considering other manufacturer's bars sell for $250-300!
I did reach out to Megan Racing and asked them about it since I did not see the bar listed on their website. The rep said that the bar is indeed made by them, however, it is not listed on their website because their website is undergoing updates and changes.
Have you installed it yet? How is the fit & finish, build quality? Also, do you have some sort of aftermarket intake system? I have the NM Engineering kit and was wondering if the strut bar is able to "hover" over the intake without touching?
Drive Safe and Drive Often. Rubber Side Down. Over and Out.
Did not receive it yet, the only thing I can see by looking at the pictures that may cause a small problem is that on the drivers side theres (3 bolts + an additional screw), I may have to drill a small hole in the strut bar that will go over the additional screw once installed, nothing major for that price.
Should look great and perform as it should.
I will take pictures during the installation next week.
I installed a k&N filter using the original air box, the new strut bar should be high enough according to the pictures.
Your picture seems to be the correct one (the blue looks great, and the extra small holes on each side will fit perfectly), I should be installing the one I ordered next weekend.
Thanks for the info
It seems the actual part number used for my strut bar (MR-SB-MCC11FU-1P) is the same as yours, I then checked their web site (http://www.meganracing.com/products/...=2166&catid=35) and your bar shows up.
I think on eBay (for my purchase) they used the wrong picture.
Keeping my fingers cross (hopping to receive your model), I notice on eBay for my purchase *Most of the images provided are for illustration purposes only and may not be the actual products.*
I got confirmation from the EBay seller that his picture is a stock picture which does not actually represent the item sold, the correct picture is the one found on the Megan website.
My part should be delivered this weekend according to the tracking number, I will be posting pictures.
We've been offering these as we find them to be the best bargain for the buck as all the other braces avail have crazy prices on them and don't work any better. We will have our own pics soon, just been too busy to take them. http://www.waymotorworks.com/aluminu...e-r60-r61.html
Finally recieved it and installed within 15 minutes.
Looks great and the front end now rides tighter.
Installation procedure :
- Disassemble the unit (2 x plates & chrome bar)
- Using a 13mm socket, remove the 3 nuts (each side) at the top of the strut towers.
- No need to remove the black plastic nuts located on each side.
- Place the appropriate Strut Plate over the strut tower studs.
- Screw down all 3 nuts on each side (hand-tight)
- Center the chrome strut bar and screw the bolts down until they are hand-tight on each plate.
- Tighten evenly (same as when previously removed) each 3 nuts for both sides.
- Tighten the nuts on each side of the chrome strut bar.
Tried to upload a picture but won't work. (except my plates are black)
I received the Megan Racing Strut Bar in the mail and installed it over the weekend! The install took 10 Minutes and was a breeze. I have to say I am very satisfied with the fit&finish of this strut bar, especially at the $99 Price Point! All of the bolt holes line up perfectly with the strut tower, and the bar easily clear all engine bay parts, including my NM Intake.
Thanks for the pics! Looks great! I'm thinking about taking the plunge too!
Have you noticed any difference while driving? Good and bad? Hard driving or soft?

I've used Strut bars on most of all my sport vehicles over the years, always notice a major difference when you can take a curve at higher speeds, the front end feels stiffer and the look looks great Under the Hood..... have fun.

HEY OSINKBOY,
I feel that the steering feels a little bit tighter, but minimal. Considering this is a brand new vehicle, whose strut towers are not "tired", as well as a "enthusiast-suspension-design", you will feel minimal improvement.
However, for $99, I bought it as a "Looks great & definitely wont hurt" type mod...
