from ordering your CM from the dealer to production date how long did it take? I ordered mine 2 weeks ago and up to now it still shows "on order and waiting to be scheduled for production" status. no production date or anything. just too excited to see my car

We ordered ours on 2/23 and it was done being built on 3/6. Then was shipped to the port where it sat until it shipped yesterday on 3/23. So 1 month from order to shipped for us. You should call 1-866-ask Mini, they have more detailed and up to date info. Just need your production number that was on the order form that the dealer gave you.

Mine went like this:

Order entered: 2/24 or so (can't remember exact date)
Production completed: 3/3
Arrived at port: 3/10
Caught the ship: 3/15

So it can take awhile, that's for sure.

That is the same order date as my new CM. supposed to be March production as well.

I am very impressed at your rapid delivery. My 2011 took three months. Not sure how long my new one will take as I cannot track it from Canada.

Your post gives me hope that it might be sooner than the late May the dealership quoted for arrival.

When I was in that stage, I called MINI and they told me when production would be complete. They were also how I found out what ship mine was on, since it is a NYK line ship and didn't show up online.

I just called Mini and they said estimated production will be completed on April 3. And maybe about 4wks after that to get my car into the dealership.

My order went in on 11 March and expect to have the car by mid June. Once the status changes to 150 meaning it's on the line you should get it in 6-8 weeks. The problem is getting to that point with all the variables. I've been sitting at status 112 the 1st step in production scheduling and expect to be there until I go on the line about mid May.

Iggy should be arriving at the VDC on the 11th. Hopefully no delays there, and then another week or so to the dealer. So close I can almost taste him . . . wow, that sounded gross! I really don't want to taste him, just drive him!

He is here. I was able to visit with him briefly last night before he was whisked away for stripes, bra, and window tinting. I LOVE HIM. I went with the anthracite headline and the cloth/leather seats and the interior is gorgeous!!! More "luxe" looking than I had anticipated. I will be picking him up Thursday night. SO worth the wait.I

This gives me hope as ours were ordered around the same time.

Congrats on your new CM!
