Enter your VIN here to find what ship you are on, departure and arrival dates, load / release status...

Once you know the ship you can track it at marinetraffic.com as long as it it within AIS range which are the green squares. Mine went silent for a few days after passing some islands in the north atlantic and then came back up once it hit Virginia Beach.
Oh, yours is very close!! I've tried putting in my VIN, but it doesn't show up yet. I'll just keep checking. Can't wait till he's on a ship. It will seem much closer then.

Yes, thanks. I know this is the Countryman section and mine is the Convertible. I just wanted to give you some recent experience on the "How long after production is completed?" question.

Hopefully my experience was an outlier of the average 6-8 weeks. I suppose they needed more vehicles for a full load before the ship can set sail as to why I waited 20 days for a ship. Who knows? I am at 10 weeks and counting.

If there were no dents or dings or broken glass on the boat ride, hopefully I am now looking at days rather than weeks.

Congrats on you new Countryman

And congrats on the convertible! 10 weeks sounds awful . . . seriously. But, yeah, you are very very close. I would be beside myself!

12 weeks and counting down the days....

" I've tried putting in my VIN, but it doesn't show up yet. I'll just keep checking."

That put your VIN thing in never worked for me. The best luck I had was asking my MA to tell me what ship our car was on and than tracking it with one of the AIS websites. True AIS is mostly costal but there are some websites that were able to show the ship crossing the ocean due to satellite communication. My car has been stuck at the Port of Brunswick GA or the VPC for over a week now. My MA said he thinks it will arrive at the dealer today/tomorrow so we are currently planning to pick it up this Saturday. That will have been a total wait time of 12 weeks. Ouch....I was certainly hoping it didn't/wouldn't take that long but I suspect the X'mas holidays shut down production for a week or two.

Well, still no assignment to a ship (at least according to the live person at MINI customer service). So apparently didn't get on either ship that left this week. The next one doesn't leave until the 23rd. Apparently I"m part of the "20 days to get on a ship" club. Sigh.

Hang in there. Now you can read all the NAM archives on the Countryman in the meantime (if you haven't already) ...

Or even better go take Penelope Anne out for a spin through the twisties!

My Cooper's estimated delivery date changed from 13 Mar to 21 Mar on the owner's lounge on the 14th. No call from my MA so it looks like another week. Week 11 begins today.

p.s. I'm swearing off popcorn when it finally get's here.

Well both of our CMs are probably waiting for the same ship..... Wife ordered her first Mini on 2/23 and production was completed March 7th. I keep checking everyday and it still says awaiting transport.... It's her CM and I'm having a hard time waiting.....

Oh NO!! Well, that's unfortunate. So yesterday my MA told me that the more diligently you track it, the longer it takes to get here, LOL! I'm beginning to feel that there may be some truth in that. Oh, and yes, I have read more about the CM than I should! It's a great way to procrastinate from doing my work . . . And I know what you mean about the popcorn

Yes, the link posted above. Mine has to ship to Cali and then to Utah, so we are probably on about the same schedule. This is almost as bad as being pregnant, LOL! Anyway, there is another ship leaving Bremerhaven the 23rd . . . maybe our new babies will be on that one. It arrives in California on April 16 or so. I figure another 10 days to 2 weeks after that??? My birthday is April 30. I would love to have him for my birthday!!

Tried the link but doesn't work yet, probably because it's not on a ship...?? It would be great if you got yours by your bday!!! My wife said beginning of May is Mothers Day so hopefully she has hers by then since it's going to be her baby!!!

So the link is great if you get on one of the ships serviced by that Line. Going Bremerhaven to GA like my CM they don't use that line and I just had to find the ship by name and track it. I did use the schedules to figure out likely ships a lot from the tracking your Mini thread elsewhere.

ordered my roadster on 3/11. I was told not to read into the tracking service and take it for fact. Many say posting is way off from what is actually happening. So I guess I will see Mini when he gets here. Sure has slowed my life down. Days are dragging.

That's how fast time is moving right now.

Sigh.

On a ship!!!

Iggy made it on to the Phoenix Leader on the 15th, scheduled to hit Port Hueneme on April 11. DRU333, you should call the MINI customer service line and ask, as this is not a WW ship and won't show up on their tracking system.

Turbofun, did you get any further word on your car????

Hi Professor!

Still waiting. Last known update was arrival at VPC on 10 Mar. Talked to ASK MINI customer relations. They said their system showed it arrived at VPC on 9 Mar and a "work order" was initiated on 10 Mar. I asked if a work order indicated "damage from transit" but she did not know anything beyond that.

I read another member who ordered a beautiful Roadster delivered this week taking around 90 days.

Good luck to all - hang in there.

Well looks like we are not shipmates after all. Just talked with CS and they said my wife's Mini is still awating transport. Finished production on the 6th and got to the dock on the 12th. So looks like you got a head start on us.
I tracked the Phoenix Leader on a website and it showed it just south of England probably to pick up some new Hardtops for the trip.....

My roadster is looking like 12-16 weeks. I ordered on 3/11 and production date given is 4/18. I'm thinking end of May or early June.

Oh, turbofun. Sigh. I'm sure it will be all worth it in the end. Just sorry you're having to wait so long.

Bummer!!! I was hoping they could hang on the Lido Deck and drink umbrella drinks together. Maybe your wife's will get on the one that leaves on the 23rd.

Yeah, just looked and the Phoenix Leader is heading into Southampton. I sailed out of there once and the dock was FULL of hardtops. It was so awesome.

Well keep me informed on the progress and I will do the same. Once I find out what ship the wife's Mini gets on I might try to pay the Captain a bit extra to try and catch your ship!!!
