It started with a sound treatment:

Then the exhaust system:

Then things got out of control:

The turbo got some attention:

The Intercooler:

The Brakes:

The Suspension:

The looks and some additional controls too:

The Overall result is good, I need to take care of those stripes now.

Height is good and did not affect ride quality:

Looks good. Do you have an estimate of how much power your car produces?

Being honest no, supposed to be on the 220 range, but I'm having issues with the tune. For some reason it does not hold boost on mid range, when you slam the gas and get higher RPM, it holds on the 19/21psi range, but before reaching it, it is very erratic.

I was reading on other posts and it probably has to do with ECU map and boost/torque control for the auto transmission to hold it and shift at proper torque range. Its not good. and I'm not happy, we are working around to see if it can be fixed, otherwise we will go back to the original ECU map and try to live with that.

See what happens with the boost:

Cheers.

Huh...Do you think a Forge BOV would help your issue?

With all the money you spent you could have bought a better all around car.

But looks good.

That does not sound like the issue many of us have after tunes on the auto tranny. Can you post a longer video? If you are running 19psi of boost, that is probably the issue. The tune I have I run max 16psi and I have a slight issue with the boost being dumped. I hear it more than I actually feel it in the rpm range.

There's only one thing wrong with this thread: you're never really done upgrading.

Yep yep, endless story.....

We were trying GFB/BOV, but it did not work, we removed it. It was worse than the original, well were also running GFB boost controller. all is back to stock, the valve and boost control. I guess when you try to run anything over 15 psi on the mid range, the ECU releases boost to allow the tranny to shift safely (my wild guess).

The Forge and any other BOV will probably not work until someone can figure a way to work the map and hold the boost at higher level on mid range/shifting range. (that's the conclusion I am getting into, but I'm not sure for sure).I guess the boost release is commanded by the ECU and not by the lack of capacity of the Diverter coil (or mechanically related).

Anyhow.

Cheers again.

220 doesn't seem like a lot with those upgrades the JCW Countryman has 218 from the factory. The turbo that you are using is it a JCW?

- Light kit from VIP, with Hella blackout;
- Turbo is the S42 setup by JMTC - Arric - we discussed the options and could go higher as S45 but that would give me too much lag, and was not sure could run very high boost (which is the issue today), you feel the lag, but once it catchs up it goes strong; http://www.jmturbocoopers.com/All-Mi...er-Turbos.html
- Intercooler, rear sus arms by alta. http://www.altaperformance.com/count...nt-intercooler
- Brake were kindly assembled by Todd at TCE, perhaps his first kit on a CMan, not very popular: http://www.tceperformanceproducts.com/mini/kits-16/
- FLat panel was something done by the local sound shop:
- Tuning and assembling done also at a local shop: http://soldera.com.br
- Other misc parts from other vendors.

Nice! Although I can't tell if you've added the JCW steering wheel. You can't possibly be done until you've added that. ::

At the crank not at the wheels. He's speaking of WHP not BHP I'm assuming. Big difference!

208 is correct but I think in Europe it is 218 but I could be wrong. I think they detune these thinks for California emissions.

Ah I get it 220 at the wheels ok makes more sense, I pretty much did the same mods on my JCW gotta get to a 4 wheel dyno this summer. I pulled this out of motortrend.

The new John Cooper Works Countryman is based on the current, most powerful version of the vehicle - the Countryman S - that uses a 177 HP turbocharged 1.6-liter engine. However, for the JCW version, the engine’s output has been increased to 218 HP. The car will sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 7 seconds and will be capable of hitting a top speed of 140 mph (manual version).

Which brackets did you use to mount your driving lights? My fiancé has lights from her last MINI and wants to mount them on her Countryman. Thanks.

I just grabbed the number off miniusa. It lists 181 for the S and 208 for the JCW, which doesn't match at all with motortrend. Who knows.

And you're right about the difference across the pond--the UK site lists 184 for the S and 218 for the JCW.

You're not done...you need one more gauge to even it out...a "JOEY Mod...Side Stripes...a front passenger ejection seat...

You need to spend more money.
