R60 Finished upgrading
I installed Way's sway bar on my Fiance's Countryman S a few weeks ago. It made a very noticeable difference in her body roll and kept the car planted through the corners. It's a great mod and very easy to install.
Sorry guys my posts have to go thru an approval process with a moderator, for some reason, so it takes time for me to respond.
Flee, did not go to the Sway bar importing that is a real pain (too bulky). But the KW suspension is suberb, retain the ride quality and add lots of cornering. A rear sway would most likely improve it. Other with experience?.
MINI#1 - Blacken headlight, would like to do that, but not comfortable with the disassembly and moisture getting in issues, any easier way doing it?.
Yes the gauges look odd now, have to deal with that..... Endless story!!!!
After tuning is done will take to a local Dyno, only two AWD Dynos in country.
Cheers.

I've been contemplating your boost problem a bit and am wondering about a few things. First, I was wondering if, at any point, you disconnected your battery and let the ECU go into a re-training mode? All those changes, I would suspect it needs to relearn how to deal with it.
Second, you mentioned that changing the BoV didn't help, which I find surprising. Swapping the turbo and the FMIC I would suspect that your car *wants* to increase the pressure for boost, but the stock BoV likely can't create/hold enough back pressure to keep the valve closed before dumping. I'm wondering if you went with a stronger spring in something like the Forge BoV if you'd see a different.
Really, I'm just guessing. I would highly recommend an ECU tune after all those mods and see how things sort out.

Exhaust Done....Drone Gone....(well the sound too)
Could not live with droning anymore, so asked my local shop to do something with it. We found a pair of Hooker's with Glasspack and built a rear setup.
Also found a bezel cut tip, turn it a little and left it flush with the rear bumper. Nice touch.
No more drone, very low tone now (almost none).

The disconnection was done, and the local tuner had done a tuning on the car, raising the boost. Before upgrading the turbo I was sensing some minor oscillation on boost pressure and car performance exactly on those mid range and most likely hight torque range.
Some other posts mention that tunes for Auto cars are not available, and if exist with lots of restrictions. for some reason Mini has done something to prevent those high boost at mid ranges, once the RPM goes up the boost stabilises on around 19/20psi. So the current bov nor the other one is not the issue, most likely something to do with the way the programming has been written by MINI.
Happy to hear if anyone has a good tune for an Auto S.
No manual tranny cars are available in country, just auto.
Cheers.
I have the RennTech ECU tune on my auto All4, but at this moment can't remember boost numbers. I do know that I haven't seen the fluctuations you're mentioning, its been pretty stable. I'll try to remember to do some experiments (with sport button on and off) to give some comparisons.
