New Clutch

I just picked up my 2013 Countryman S All4. I ordered the manual transmission before I read the threads about the clutch problems mentioned earlier. I previously had a ClubmanS which had the old awful clutch. One of many reasons I got rid of it as soon as I could.

I am happy to report that the new clutch is fantastic. Really a noticeable upgrade from the previous version. Actually makes the Countryman a blast to drive. I can't wait to install my Craven speed short shifter this week. Love the window controls on the doors too. I know it takes away from the quirkiness of the MINI, but it really is more convenient.

What kind of problem did you encountered with the ClubmanS clutch.

The clutch in the clubman was absolutely a nightmare in 1st gear. You couldn't engage it without killing the engine or jerking the car shuddering it.

Well described, but the issue here is with the early manual Countryman ALL4 - the '2013' clutch in my 2011 has made it a very different experience in the positive direction!

In the Countryman there is. Not sure about their other models.
