With my mini connect car I use the voice command to move around. Say I'm in the setting section I use the button and said radio and it takes me to radio tab.

the commands for voice command are in the owner's manual. it's worth reading because there is more than one "mode" you can be in.

Do you have connected? Without connected you're just talking to yourself.

I have the equivalent to Connected in a BMW and use it to make calls, switch from Sirius to FM radio for local traffic, navigation, etc... My CM does not have connected so it was a bit of a surprise when I pushed the button to tell it to do something and nothing happened.

The only command I know is 'dial (name/number)'. I should check the manual to what else it can do.

Whilst navigating, I got frustrated missing directions - finally pushed the button and yelled "Repeat". To my great suprise, she did. I use it all the time now.
