Ah! Glad you said something! That does make it tricky. Hmm perhaps I'll cool my jets and wait for your parts to come in and see what "anthracite" looks like in this instance. Would you mind updating this thread when your parts come in?

I was out of the country for my last scheduled appointment.
It's been re-scheduled for the 13th.......I'm told everything has arrived.

Anyone have instructions on how to remove those pieces?

I'd like to remove mine and paint them to match the other flat black interior parts.

You might want to try your local dealer for a diagram or see if they have the parts in stock and just take a look at them.

According to to my SA, everything is going as scheduled. They're still on the exterior, brakes, oils, filters all the 30,000 services and checks. They cannot actually order a new fly wheel (per mini) until the old one is pulled and deemed necessary, which they did. I will get another update today...once the exterior is completed including a new clutch , they'll start with the interior....new JCW black face tach and gauges and trim. Mini recall includes new sun visors Should be good to go by Friday

Got a call from my SA, all the parts received for the clutch are wrong....they re-ordered all the correct ones for the new clutch including fly wheel. Everything's been put on hold.
I'm being told mid-next week........

Picked up my countryman....Everything went well and looks great. Clutch will take a little getting use to...it is 100% improvement. They did not need to replace fly wheel...everything else is new. The new Black Face JCW Tach to match the new gauges installed fine but would not accept the updates & programming, we opted to pull it and reinstall the original white face tach...gauges still look good, especially with all the new black trim... no more mini mouse look or jokes . I'll try to post a few pictures later on...
The only trim still in the ugly grey color is the trim ring for the shifter...still waiting for that to arrive....will be awhile I'm told.

Nice! That's weird about the shifter ring though because I already got mine. But yet again, I updated my whole trim piece so that I can have the bigger cup holders. I'm still debating if I want to go with the Chrome Line Interior pieces or the Piano Black ones.

Very nice! Now I wish I went with the gauges instead of the portable navigation mount.

Thanks for the comments... I am very happy with the outcome.
The torque gauge has a little rattle that's bugging me...hopefully I can resolve it...if not my service guy said come by and they'll take a look. All my paperwork is at the office... I can verify exact part #'s, correct color descriptions etc tomorrow. Dealer did the install and was around $65. The 2 vent trims along with the mini mouse trim was around $125. I believe. Again I'll confirm everything in the morning. The expensive items were the gauges...around $540 and install was close to 450.
bmrguy03.... That is weird that you already have your trim for the shifter....if you have a moment to post the part # it would be appreciated!

Are the cup holders that much larger ? I covered that whole pc of the console with the cup holder in carbon fiber... Butbid be will to exchange it if the holders make a significant difference.... Ifvyoubhad a pert # , again that would be appreciated.... My 2nd mini (R56) had piano black trim... And I was constantly wiping it with a soft cloth....dusty, fingerprints etc. but that was just me.

Here are the part numbers and descriptions in regards to the New Trim I just had installed...
Thought I'd just copy & paste the part #'s rather than me chancing messing up numbers...

As you can see the total trim was $134.63 & labor charged $61.95

Thanks for the part numbers but I had a quick question since I noticed it also said "chrome." Are these the part #s for the chrome parts only? I was hoping it for it to be a completely flat black like in the pics posted in the earlier part of the thread.

Yes, I have the interior chrome line. I let the parts guy know that the trim w/o the chrome was acceptable as well...... Sorry. They should have no problem getting w/o the chrome line.....

Great. Thanks for all of the helpful info. I'd prefer to install myself so I'll have to do some separate investigating.

I just ordered the parts for this. How hard is it to remove the existing pieces around the air vents. I did the cupholder upgrade myself, and was hoping to do this myself too.
