Thanks! I had a friend get me some photos before it opened to the public and Photoshopped from there. I think it should look pretty good!

Hey, the one thing I still want to know is regarding the rear seat(s). Did this one have the bench? Were the rear seat(s) piped in red like the front was? Didn't get any pics of that part, which has me curious.

I think they were but I honestly can't recall with 100% certainty.

I snapped these quickly as I was working some of the cheerful MINI elves over looking for someone from corporate to help me out getting my clutch upgraded to 2013 parts, but that's for another thread...

Haha - I don't blame you!

These seats are becoming quite the mystery - nobody can remember seeing them. Perhaps they have a neuralizer (Men In Black reference) built in somewhere back there...

tried to get my wife to let me trade my 2012 countryman S in for a JCW, I got "the look" that basically says, you can't be serious? Granted its only 5 months old and the financial hit would be painful, but i considered it. probably wait a couple years, my son wants mine so turn over payments and then start over with one, something like that is my current thinking.

I just emailed my order to my MA tonight! Waiting to hear back if they accept my demands for free accessories :D

I went with True Blue body, red sport stripes, and white roof/mirrors. All the packages, adaptive xenons, white turn signals, carbon black cloth seats, chili red interior (dash), bucket seats with 2-part center rail, all weather tires, couple other things I'm sure.

Now I start playing the waiting game!

I know Theta....hiccups to a car that your tracking is really defeating. If they are going to provide information when things are on schedule it's even more important to provide details when things aren't. Is my delay going to be 2 days? 2 weeks?? 2 months???? Someone needs to be able to pass this info along.

Want to hear something discouraging? My car moved backwards from "daily production pack" to "on order". Disappointed to say the least.

It's really a dealer lottery and allocation issue - the dealer usually doesn't tell you what their JCW allocation weeks are link because they're ranged.

Actually Theta the sales manager showed me thejr ordering computer 2 months ago and Week 49 was their first JCW allotment. Maybe you and I will end up built back to back.

Congrats on both of your orders. I spec'd out my JCW and it came to $47045. I am having a hard time ordering cause a fully loaded all wheel drive X1 came in at $45000. I really love Minis and will be my 4th one not counting my classic. I just know the right choice and go back and forth. Both of the prices are before any discounts which the dealer indicated would about 7% plus any current rebates. I worked for BMW and there IS profit in Minis.

7% under sticker? That would be incredible, as I've never heard of anyone actually getting any good deal on ordering a JCW.

As for the X1, I saw the same, but when you add in the M package with all the goodies, it gets north of $50k pretty quick!

I just ordered mine and was able to throw in some free accessories, but I didn't haggle on the price of the car otherwise. I suppose it's possible I could have gotten a better deal, but considering what you all have said regarding the JCW, and based on what the dealer told me previously, I wasn't expecting to be able to get anything off.

I made sure to use a combination of the configurator and the pricing sheet someone else posted here to make sure all of the options were properly priced. For example, they automatically add the $250 for the anthracite headliner that you cant remove on the configurator but its standard on the JCW so there should be no charge.

The only things I'm not really happy about are the configurator lists cloth JCW carbon black cosmos seats as an option, whereas the dealer says they don't have cloth so I have to do leatherette (not a fan of leather, or of paying extra for it).

The main sticking point is the tires. The website lists all season tires as an option on the JCW ( and in my opinion rightly so, considering its an AWD vehicle touted for its capability in harsh weather). The dealer said BMW has no 18 inch all seasons and I can't get them. I argued with him a little over the fact that they *make* 18inch all seasons, so should be able to get them. He says no. He says he "shares my frustration" at the fact that I'm looking at going out and purchasing brand new tires to replace ones on a brand new vehicle and that doesn't make me happy. Not really sure what else I can do on that one besides suck it up? It does annoy me when options are listed that apparently don't actually exist.

Other than that, the ordering process is going smoothly so far. He says I am just making it into their orders for this month so should be anywhere from 6 weeks to no more than 10 weeks. Just in time for the snow.

Just to correct something there, they absolutely make the All-Seasons in 18" and it's very much an option.

The description and code for 18" All-Season tires is:

927 All-season tires N/C

Until I changed my order for the 19" wheels, this was on my order. You need to tell him that he's wrong - we have the paperwork to prove it.

Yes that's right. You CAN get all-season 18" tires - I ordered them. And they are 100% listed on the dealer's ordering computer. I know because I looked at their computer with them when I ordered my car.

I know... I had the code on my order sheet. But they claim that isn't accurate and they don't have them. I'm not sure what else the code would match up with if not that?

I guess I could ask him to check again.

Yes tell him you KNOW for a fact people are ordering their JCW Countryman with all seasons. My sales manager said that initially too....BC they never offered all-seasons on previous JCW 18" wheels. But when we saw them on the ordering computer he admitted his mistake. Sounds like you guy is just stubborn.

Ok, thanks. I just sent him am email relaying that with the code and asked him to check into it again. My MA put another guy on the line to go over the options with me, and he's the one who was being stubborn. Hopefully my MA can check with someone else.

Thank you guys for the input. Hoping to report back with good news after he checks it out!

Well, he checked into it and called the port, and said that supposedly while that's the right code, they aren't offered anymore and aren't an option on the JCW Countryman. Supposedly they can give me a "deal" on all seasons from the parts department after it comes in.

I'd love to know if someone who has ordered it with the all seasons ends up getting them at delivery. It still annoys me that I'd be forced to buy new tires immediately, in what is typically the heart of winter here.

In any case, the order is officially in and she has entered production! Registered in the owner's club yesterday, so now the obsessive tracking can begin

Theta - what's this $300 for factory tint? MINI will tint it in production? I asked but my dealer said no and my dealer doesn't do it either. I'll have to find a place in Jersey.
