Buckets and full rail here, just as God intended. Yes, it is form over function...but isn't that what owning a Mini is all about?

Well described Royson! Although you have to give Mini SOME credit. Every rear seat passenger we've had, without exception and without being asked, have each commented on their surprise at the rear seating comfort level given the overall size of the CM.

i agree ... top 3 things i get comments on are my white turbo fan wheels, the speedo and the rear bucket seats

also, no one seems to be in a hurry to call shotgun

Funny, there are three basic set-up options for rear and neither the Configurator nor dealer photos ever show the rear.

Does anyone here have experience with a child's high-back booster chair making it difficult to reach the even forward most cup holder? My kid's seat has him sitting 8-9 inches forward, not to mention the side supports and arm rests on the seat. I need to take him by the dealer, but it seems the full rail is my best option, more room for toys too.

I wonder how a lit up rail handles a spill

I wanted the practicality of the bench real bad but once I sat in the buckets Igot to thinking would I want to sit in these or a flat poorly shaped bench..I found you can move them back-forth about 3in. and the partial rail is great and the kids love the drink holders and LED lights in the rail at nite...The buckets just make the car a better looking interior and you kids and friends will thank you....Oh the seats keeput luggage from shifting when braking and we put the cooler and stuff we want to get to on the rear seats...

I went with buckets and dual rails. I have several more years with my kid in a booster seat so it would be really hard to get three people back there anyway.

my wife and daughter, who are both on the smaller side, love the buckets. They sat on the bench and we determined that another person back there would be really tight, which makes sense given the small form of the MINI anyway. IF i had smaller kids, my daughter is 15, then I might have done the bench if for no other reason that I think it'd be easier to keep clean. overall though, the buckets are just cool and a much better seat to sit in.

Bench seat here, waited months to get it. Our dog likes to lay length-wise on road trips...rail wasn't going to work out.

Leather bench here and ordered that way. I'm happy and so are our dogs on trips.
