I was initially interested in a 2012 replacement for my 10-year old MCS, focused on a Clubman, but was disappointed in the changes that had taken place in those 10 short years (too numerous to mention). So I settled on the Countryman, as it performed almost the same at the Clubman, but with a little extra room for my dogs and other passengers.

If I could afford another MINI, I'd probably choose a roadster for my own use (sans dogs) and may eventually get one. But then I'd need a bigger garage.

Have had it since January 2011...and I love this car Just hope that BMW will improve build quality to reduce, or preferably eliminate rattles.

41 male, this is my second MINI. My first MINI was a Chili Red '03 hardtop. Traded it in when our third kid was on the way, in '07. Now that 2 of our 3 kids are out of carseats, and the rear bench is available, I am finally back in a MINI. So glad to be back, and to get rid of the Saturn Outlook.

 

Lora (the cute one below) is 50 and this is her first MINI, although she used to ride shotgun in my R53. She loves the car, but isn't really into the whole message board thing.

Kids rode in the CM for the 1st time on Saturday--within the first 5 mins of being belted into the rear bench, I threw it around a cloverleaf at speed (which I didn't/couldn't do in my Passat). After straightening out, the first thing I hear from the back seat is "Can we do that again? That was fun!"

They now think that MINIs are just about the coolest cars on the road.

16 first car. My mom had a MINI previously, that's what started the MINI bug in me when it came time for me to get a car there was NO question it HAD to be a MINI. Of course, I'm very lucky to have been able to order my car just the way I wanted it. I was in between a JCW Clubman or the R60 ALL4 and it came down to needing all wheel drive.
