CM4 ordered!

The wifey and I ordered a white CM4 tonight and are patiently waiting for it Already decided on a 2" lift and front skid plate. It's going to be her car, but she's nice enough to let me work on it!

We decided on the All4 model because once we move out of Hawaii it will probably be to the east coast. With that in mind we wanted something that would work well in the snow, so we also got every option except Mini Connect, driving lamps, and the rear parking sensors. Sports, premium, and cold weather packages We would have gotten Connect but we don't ever intend on owning an iPhone. We're really looking forward to heated seats plus heated and auto dimming mirrors. Black interior with gravity leather seats and the polar beige door panels (because they look so nice with the ambient lights!)

This is our first new car purchase so we are quite stoked that we were able to finance through Mini at 2.9%. Being here in Hawaii we weren't able to go to many dealers and get a nice discount off MSRP. We paid what the Mini website priced everything out to and got them to throw in the rubber floor mats, rubber boot mat, and to give us unspecified discounts on purchase of mud flaps, side stripes, and boot stripes. Then he's referring us to the place they take cars to get the windows tinted to have that done and the stripes installed. No hard numbers on how much we saved there, but it will still be cheaper than having the dealer tint the windows and install the stripes.

We had to put a $1k deposit, although they tried to say it was $3k at first. We probably could have gone down to $500 but it's not that big of a deal. I guess the real fun negotiations begin once the car is here and we talk to the Mini financing people. That's when we can try and work some kind of deal on the tire and wheel protection which we want and the extended warranty which I'm still on the fence about. It would probably be a good idea to get it since the all4 is new to Mini, but at the same time I REALLY can't wait to get a dyno tune... Decisions decisions...
