I have Bridgestone Dueller ROFs on 17in wheels, sport suspension, reactive Xenons, a bench seat and a flat load floor on my All$D. All meet or exceed my expectations!

BTW, the car rides much better than my Clubman did on 16in non-run-flats so maybe the bad press early ROFs gained, justifiably, should now be consigned to history?

As far as I know, the flat load floor has nothing to do with seats.
There is some other flap that covers the gaps between rear buckets though, supposedly.

And different wheels/tires come with the sport suspension? really? never heard that, why would they change the wheels to other than what you are expecting? I could see the OEM tire varying though, less so if you get All-seasons though.

Love the look of the 18" black w/sliver rims, but my issue with the 18s were
a) no all seasons
b) rougher ride
c) possible less clearance in the winter weather
d) more expensive tires?
e) easier to damager the rims?
but man I like those rims
The wheels do cost a lot of $, I did see in the showroom when we ordered our CM. They have some 19" JCW rims for the CM that look very similar to my JCW 18"'s. I think they are around $ 4K.

I ordered the below wheels (18" black)) as part of the sport package. I'm sure they won't be as smooth riding as the 17" wheels but they sure look good to me :-) I can't wait to get em'.

Appears gRay rAvEn was asking you if it was really necessary to order the flat load floor cover since you were ordering the bench seats. It's really not needed with bench seats which means you may be able to save $250 and use that towards the xenons. Those of us who have the split seats benefit from the flat load floor so that one covers the gap between seats and anyone outside peering is not able to see the contents in the back. With bench seats you won't need it though it is personal preference. See this thread by Sealy with very nice pics for more info.

They look good - but I kind of like my anthracite ones.

As far as all that hoopla up above about wheels. I may be wrong, but - - - you can buy the fancy 18" wheels all alone or as an upgrade with the Sport Package. With the the Sport Suspension, all you get is suspension.

I'll also second the no flat floor with a bench. Just doesn't seem necessary.

Sealy - Who's been about youified up the wazoo - which was also a $250 option

P.S. - Thanks for the mention

I wonder if I've misunderstood what the flat load floor is?

On the configurator, it says:
"The Countryman's extra, hidden stowage compartment can be covered by the optional rear-load floor panel while the standard panel is against the rear seats. Or when the rear seats are down, the entire cargo area becomes a full flat floor. "

According to that, I thought you always get a "standard panel", and the option gets you a "rear panel" in addition. But can the standard panel also cover the hidden stowage.

So in the case of rear buckets, 1 flap covers the "bottom compartment" of the boot, and the other flap covers the gap in the rear buckets, whether the buckets are upright or lying down?

In the case of a rear bench, wihout the option, does the flap you get cover the compartment and make it flat still?

Is the flat load floor option removable? Wonder if I could return it then in case I don't need it.

Noe I'm wondering why Mini even allows me to add it if I am getting a rear bench if it just adds a an extra flap on top of the other one.

Agree with the above posts regarding the alarm. There is an option for the light to flash and as mentioned...flash only once. I like things integrated so yes an after market alarm is possible....But another warranty issue and another thingy dangling from my key chain. If I had a $1.00 for every time I had to verify the countryman locked, either by unlocking/locking or turning my head looking for the flash...I could of paid for that alarm and audible verification...over twice

With the factory standard option think of it as an either/or solution. You can either cover the storage compartment in the boot or you can have it up over the seats with the storage well open.
The flat load option lets you have both the storage well covered and the back of the seats covered.

I was wondering what you get if you order the bench.
Going by what KiwiRob (I think that was his name) says in another thread (sorry can't remember which one it is, but probably the main flat load floor thread), is that you don't get any standard flap with the bench. Assuming
US is in the same boat, then I am indeed ok with ordering it, because I like
the idea of being able to cover the compartment.
