Hi eyevin68, your CM looks great and inspiring me on this side of the pond! How did you black out the chrome on the waistline just below the glass did you plasti dip? If so was it easy?

Thanks electricpeak7 - I appreciate the compliment.

The stripes were not that big a deal... I just went to a local vinyl shop and asked them if they could replicate the official sport stripes in a color of my choosing. They said yes, and handed me a book of vinyl swatches/samples.

The result is what you see.

Good to know! Wouldn't have even known this was a possibility. This really makes the options limitless!

Thinking about doing flat black bonnet/boot stripes and then maybe mirrors/ducts in some contrasting color... but we shall see.

Thanks Cam! Flat black on Absolute black would look awesome. There's another poster here from the Philippines if I recall, who wrapped their's in Flat black and then applied Gloss black stripes...

Benty's AB w/ fluro blue scheme reminded me of TRON, a Flynn scheme so to speak. So I whipped up the Clu version in photoshop...

That's awesome DannyBoy - when I was deciding on my stripes I did consider yellow and orange. Looks good!

I like fluro mirrors and I really like rayline stripes. The object of my current MINI lust would be a light white with a black top, yellow mirrors and the flat black/yellow rayline stripes. A kind of Brawn GP scheme.

Bentyyc, I hope you don't mind me borrowing your image for testing some color ideas. Any opinions on the reverse bumblebee look? I didn't change the bike rack color because I got lazy.

That was actually one of the colour schemes I was going do (minus the blue bike racks )!

My vinyl shop thought the compound curves would not allow them to do a job they would be proud of.

Had the auto body shop that installed the aero kit also colour-match the ducts to the vinyl. So, yes, they're painted.

Boost - JCW CM

Here are a few pictures of "Boost", our 2013 JCW Countryman. We had the roof painted silver and had the viper stripes color matched. Been a blast to drive.

Congrats on the JCW!! I like the silver stripes, anything other than white over black is a welcome change. Is that the standard steering wheel or one of the optional JCW upgrades?

Mceryetri, I like boost.

Like where you put your front JCW logo. I lost mine when they put the new grill on with the lights. I have one coming and now know where i'll put it.

It is the leather wrapped JCW optional wheel. It is a nice upgrade overall the stock wheel, but I wish it had the red stiching.

Do you have a long "Y" cable or did you get some sort of extender for it? I have a iphone mount that I want to use, but I need a longer cable.

If you are not using an iPhone 5, here is a 30 pin extension. I use the same setup.
