Used the A-Piller vinyl and installed over the gloss black trim piece. It has to be cut to fit, and since the checkers are angled, having something that cuts straight for you helps.
One piece isn't quite enough to do both passenger and driver sides. I have the passenger done and enough to do the piece over the start button, but not enough for the piece to the left of the steering wheel.
Ayces - great photos - I love your interior. The red color line really sets it off.
I noticed you did an nav accessory - which did you purchase and do you like it? I didn't get the nav package and want to buy one now so I'm looking for recommendations.

I have a TomTom 540 XL that was in my prior car. Mine doesn't have traffic updates, and with the traffic in my area, it is definitely an option I would get when it comes time to buying another. I like TomTom's interface and like all the customization options.

I have the navigation hooked up to a mount from Craven Speed. Strangely enough, the XL series requires the Garmin mount from Craven. It works nicely. I was also able to reroute the cord through the steering column which really cleans it up. Also when I leave the car, a hat covers the nav nicely. I keep this one in my driver's door and throw it over the nav when I leave. It completely covers it, and since it matches the car, it looks like it belongs there.

Also here is a picture of the mount. It attaches behind the tach.

Nice to meet you Rupert! I see your in GA. I am too. Where about?
No, It's Big Bear. My wife immediately took off to Southern California to visit her daughter, and they sent me the pic back from Big Bear Lake.
I get to drive it to Flagstaff next weekend for my first real seat time in the Countryman.
