Missing Trip Counter

Here's a new one...

When I had the spot/driving lights installed, the car needed to be re-programmed so that the lights worked properly.

As a result, my trip counter has disappeared. Typically, on the tach, the trip counter shows on the bottom right of the display (right near the trip counter reset button).

Does anyone know if this is simply a setting and configurable, or will another re-programming appt be required to bring it back? I'm currently scheduled for re-programming, just in case...

Sorry to revive this 2 year old thread but I am actually having the same exact problem. Took my car in for service over the weekend for a few recalls and they told me they had to "update" the computer on my car. I used to be able to see the trip counter next to the trip button but now it's missing. I can still see the trip counter if i press the trip button but it used to show without me pressing it.

If you have the guts to code your car, I found the coding that brings it back. Took me a few hours of tinkering with the car to find the code to bring it back but it is certainly possible!

No, I guess not because I like my old setup better

I actually bought the cable and read up on coding my car with "video in motion". I spent countless hours in the garage but no luck at all.
