Electric Front Window Defroster

Just checking to see if anyone recently has been able to order the Electric Front Window Defroster in the USA? I really don't understand why they wont offer it, even when we are doing a custom order. I couldn't get the option in my clubbie; thinking it would be great in the 2012 Countryman I am about to order (if we can get the system to take orders with mini connected and nav, grr)

I really wish this would become available, it is so useful.

Even though it isn't offered on configurator, I imagine a well-informed salesperson would be able ask for that option to be included in your MINI. But you'll have to find a salesperson who knows the parts, I interacted with some that had no idea what a rear fog light is.

I absolutely agree, this feature would be incredible for winter. It takes my engine about 5 minutes to warm up, which means I can't see anything while I'm driving without defrost. ;-)

It is very odd the US does not have this option. It is available in Canada (and I ordered it for my future JCW)... I mean sure, half the US have no use for it, but there must be more MINIs sold in Northern USA than all of Canada.
