Bump Steer

I love my Countryman, BUT the one thing I hate about it, is the bump steer. It is really pretty dangerous as well as annoying.

Has anyone else found a good remedy for this issue?

I was at the spaghetti bowl in vegas and where the road splits to go towards Henderson there is a big bump in the curve of the road as you are exiting. That thing throws my steering wheel sideways like every time.

I know ALTA makes a system for the 53/56, but I haven't seen anything Countryman specific? Plus the Countryman ride height magnifies any type of bump steer you had in your mini.

Bringing this thread back from the abyss.

What system do you speak of? I hate bump steer and find it hard to believe that run flat tires and front wheel drive are the culprit, like so many on this forum have stated. Thanks for any input!

I think they're describing:
http://www.altaperformance.com/p/141

"The ALTA PSRS replaces the front control arm's rear rubber bushings with solid spherical bearings. The solid design of the PSRS will not allow any wheel deflection under heavy braking or acceleration, in turn your MINI's suspension geometry will not change making the vehicle handling more consistent and predictable.
Under acceleration your MINI will have more front end traction and be more predictable in corners. Wheel hop will disappear and your MINI will feel more stable. Under braking steering feedback issues and wandering are eliminated!"

Unfortunately, there's no reference in this product for the Countryman...
