R60 Connected with iOS 5
Connected with iOS 5
Just a heads up...
Connected and Pandora are not working with the latest beta release of iOS 5.
I have sent a problem report to MINI.
Plugin and Bluetooth are working, still no support for SMS or email...
I will update this thread when/if the apps are working again, I will also test them immediatly when the public release of iOS 5 is released.
Once you update to iOS 5 you cannot downgrade to iOS 4 (unless you are jailbroken and have saved your SHSH Blobs)..
Long story short... if you like to use Connected or Pandora don't update until it's working....

Does anyone know how to update the head unit firmware when they release updates for connected? It has a update option, but is it OTA thru the phone or is it thru the glove case like the nav?
I really want to see Bluetooth connected!!! I hate plugging in! And with Bluetooth you can listen to anything, not just pandora and crappy online radio. I actually plug my phone in the glove box, since it provides power but does screw with my Bluetooth settings!
Btw, does anyone know how to get the iPhone to push more to office than just contacts? In the manual it says some phones can push email, calendars, and text messages.

Write to MINI, if enough people ask for something it may get implemented... make sure you write to Marketing, not Engineering, for your request...

That's up to Apple, they need to add MAP (Message Access Profile) to the Bluetooth Stack in the iPhone, until then it's just going to be contacts, it may also require a software update from MINI.. Right now Blackberry supports those features....
It updates with the USB port, check www.mini.com/connectivity for updates, this is where you will download the update when it's available.
