Stubby antenna question....

I bought The Stubby from Craven for my new All4. It was the first thing we did.

I've had a couple of things happen and I was wondering if anyone else had experienced it.

Driving into my garage, the satellite radio loses it's signal for a few seconds. The other day, it did it under the canopy at the gas station.

I've never had Sirius before so I'm not sure if this is typical or if it's the antenna. Anybody?

Having had three cars with sat radio, the antenna needs 'line -of -sight" to get reception. Tall buildings, sometimes even large tree canopies will interfere with reception.....including your garage.

Before I had The Stubby I had the same problem still of going under an overpass or parking in my garage and the signal cutting out. The same problem exists with the Stubby, but I haven't not noticed it happening any more frequently than when it happened with the longer antennae

Thanks!! I really hoped it wasn't the antenna.

I have Sat on two different cars. (Mini and Toyota) The Mini has a aftermarket Stubby and I gets better reception than the Toyota with the wired in separate attenna. Typically they have about a 4 second buffer on these. In the Toyota if I go under a low bridge or in a tunnel I will get cut off after the buffer runs out. If I make it through to the other side before the buffer is empty, then I see no drop off in reception.

The mini seems to get slightly less drop offs then the Toyota.
