One tough looking CM, especially liking the wheels and the lowered stance.

 

I like it, I like that it takes the best parts of the exterior chrome package (front air ports, and rear skirt) and leaves off the rest (at least I think they are chrome, might be matte silver like the roof), wish that was an option as I did not want chrome side scuttles.

 

How do I take my 1.6-liter turbo four and chip it, fit it with a new breathing apparati and intercooler to bring my CM's output up from 184 horsepower to a more prodigious 227 ponies and 242 lb-ft, hmmmmm?

 

Go and talk to superchips www.superchips.co.uk they will get you to 224hp and 286NM.

 

I wonder what kind of gas mileage one ends up getting after the mods. I'm going CM partially because of mpg and I think this would bring it down to the range of other compact SUVs.

This is just what you can get with a remap, these guys have been around right from the start of chip tunning so they know a thing or two. If you add an exhaust, pod filter and intercooler you could be looking at 250hp.

 

Nothing crystallizes my thoughts about Italian unification like a MINI Countryman...

 

Not to hijack the thread, but I just got off the phone with Jeff over at Eurobahn Performance in California, and I'm probably going to send my cpu over to him within the next couple of weeks. He told me he would be able to add about 37 hp and 40 lbs of torque to my CM. I'm drooling over here. Thanks KiwiRob for the heads up.

 

How are you removing the CPU and where is it?

 

It would be good if the Blufin plug n play device could talk to the MINI cpu, at the moment it can't.

 

He walked me through it but I wasn't near my car at the time. He told me it's relatively easy and he would walk me through it when I was ready to ship it to him. It was under the hood in some sort of compartment of what I can remember, I'll just call him when I'm ready so he can just walk me through it again. Yeah, I'm pretty pumped about this.

 

That thing is amazing.
