What snow tires did you put on your CMS? Did you switch out wheels? I am looking at the Blizzaks. Just in case we get snow on LI again I want to be prepared.
I got the Goodyear Eagle Ultra Grip GW3s. LOVED them on my other Mini - it's the best tire we've found for the weather we get here. Lots of slush and freezing water, usually cold and dry, and not a LOT of deep snow. Got them mounted on a second set of wheels to make the swap easier (and since I change my own I don't have to worry about the TMPS).
Thanks!!! LOVE it!!! made having to go all the way to NJ worth it because I got to drive it for 5 hours!!!! didn't want to leave it. So much to still figure out with the computer, radio, etc... but it made me smile all day! And saw only one other white Countryman on the road back.
LOVE the yellow. And there are few enough of us on the road--even fewer yellow I would think.
I love the sklbus plate!!! that is awesome. the color of mine is more yellow/green, but I'll come up with a name soon. I've had some good suggestions... I doubt I'll do the vanity plate tho. I'll be noticeable enough!
are you loving the red!?

<grin> we also have a yellow car in the family. Lightning Yellow Mazda RX-8 that we've named pikachu.
After this weekend I can't really see the red! It's SO DIRTY.
Wow - I didn't see that! My OL Review order detail says 2/29!!!
My expected delivery date changed! It is now 2/27- tomorrow! check yours...
My MA called me tonight but I missed his call and he didn't leave a message...
Great, didn't know that before. Just checked, mine is already in the dealer, so exciting...
Cool! You should be getting a call any day now to pick up your car. My MA told me that the pre-delivery inspection at the dealer should only take half a day. It's just a matter of when their service dept can fit your car into their schedule.
Congrats! Looks like we all made it and got our rides!!!! WEEEEEEE!!!!!
I know! I feel like this whole this is an initiation thing, you have your pledging/hazing period and then you acquire your Mini and you are officially part of the club!

For those of you whose mini's are or were on the boat - how long is the trip over (to the east coast)? A week? Three weeks? Just wondering.
from everything i can tell it depends on which port you are going to as well as the ship. i saw on the ww website that from bermenhaven to baltimore it was around 13 days however there were some ships that made the trip in 8 and some that took as many as 15. and thats not even counting the K-line ships which (i think) make the trip faster. its all in which ship you are lucky (or unlucky) enough to get on.
I agree. For me I think it was about 2 weeks. It's really hard to pin down exactly when things occur from the various places we try to get our information. Mine is "currently" at the VPC so it won't be long now I hope.
I believe mine is on the Florida Highway and it left Bremerhaven on the 23rd, has already been to South Hampton, and is on its way to the states! So I'm hoping I'm right but we're calling our dealer this afternoon to find out for sure.

Thank you. Good to know. I'm sure I'd be coming into the Baltimore port so I guess once my car is through production I can see what ship it ends up on.
