I hope you are having a great week! I have great news! Your MINI has arrived at Brunswick, GA. It is very possible that your MINI will arrive early next week. I just wanted to let you know of the good news so we can start preparations and financing if need be. Let me know if you have nay questions and I will keep you updated to when it arrives here at the dealership!
Love the red! it was one of my top contenders but I've always wanted a yellow car (ever since the Audi A4 had that yellow color). So i had to go with the yellow. I know not everyone appreciates that color (I've had quite a few taxi cracks, but I think its a really nice mustard color!)

The yellow crossed my mind-but even though I think the red is really sharp--I am a Georgia Tech fan--it is too close to UGA red and black!
Has your status changed from on Order to Scheduled for Production? I ordered on 2/5 and mine started production 3-4 days ago. I already have my VIN, would hate to here that production has stopped. I hate to here that you have been delayed.
Red Baron- any updates on your car? 23 days for me with ZERO progress.

I got my weekly update status from my MA and it still says 150 Scheduled for Production. I emailed him back and he said that he would know by Monday why it seems to have stalled. I then called Ask MINI and the rep told me that it was in production and has been since 2/16 but didn't show that it had yet moved into the body shop... Which to the best of my knowledge is step one, so I also seem to be in limbo. If they are going to offer a service such as tracking, then it needs to be updated real time or at least updated accurately daily. With the technology they have, I do not understand why this does not already occur. I am also starting to be unhappy. Beauxgoris - What does it say on the OL or when you call Ask MINI?
Ok 23 days is INSANE. Is this what the OL is saying or both the OL and ASKMINI? Where did you order from and have you contacted your MA??
I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks so! I've tried all 3:
*the online resource
*the 800 mini hotline and
*my sales person.
I purchased from Rockville Maryland dealership and was told all mini's that are in my section are delayed for some unknown reason. He said they were backed up 15 cars deep just from their dealership alone right now. He said he's looking into it so hopefully someone will have some answers, but this coming Wednesday is the FOUR week mark with so far with ZERO movement. No VIN #, no production happening etc. I'm just so upset. I'm worried that at this rate I won't get my car until May!

I'm starting to be unhappy too. I was okay with an 8 week max (as I was told) timetable - but unless they build my car and have it slated for shipping in the next two weeks I don't see how it will even make it in that amount of time. I'm really upset about the lack of information. What's the point of having an 800 number if they have zero information for you when you call other then to "call back" another day to see if things have progressed. Mini seemed like a progressive car when we looked at it - it's one of the things we liked about it - but their tracking system is a total joke!!!!

Not that this is going to help in anyway-But I just checked out a few BMW message boards and there seems to be a problem along the entire BMW production line with orders, info and communication. The same type of delays and the same lack of information. The plant the CM is being produced in is a contract builder for BMW, Aston Martin, Nissan, Porche, Jeep, Mercedes, etc., so I guess there are delays along the production line for all those models too. I agree that with the state of the art of "instant" communications, there should be a more full and fruitful ability to track in real time what's happening, but apparently, that just isn't their focus.
