And the winner is! I wonder if it can be custom fit to the Countryman? I may be making a phone call...

I had a hatchbag for the murano. It looks like they updated it now to fix a lot of my complaints! Might give them a second chance!

Yay!
Here's what my MA told me today: "ETA date is still 2/9/2012 to VPC center then it’s about 3-5 business days before it’s released to a carrier truck , then its 1-2 days before it’s here , all aprox. It is almost here J))"
I am pins and needles!

It could be Don Juan, it just departed today. I can now track my VIN on ww site. You can check yours, we could be on the same boat.

Then you're probably on one of those K-Line ships where there's no tracking info.

Mine took 7 days from my submission of order, immediate 'On Order' status same day, to Production with a VIN. But my dealer changed one of their On Order stock to my list of options the night I ordered. Now somewhere in the Atlantic headed for Panama...

VDC and customs takes about 3 days I've read, if there are no problems, then transport to dealer and dealer inspection/prep takes at least 3 more days, depending...

My MiniPerson says from Brunswick Port VDC to South Atlanta Mini it usually comes within a week provided no problems. I have also read it also depends on how busy the area is with Mini's. If there are a lot of Mini's going to an area more trucks move. Where some places the trucks wait to fill up for a little while because they aren't going to a mini populated area and the truck takes longer to fill.

Just got off the phone with "Ask Mini", and they couldn't give me any details on which carrier it's being shipped with. I'm assuming it's K-Line since WW still has no records using my VIN! :sigh:

Your MiniPerson should be able to tell you. Mine took a picture of her screen at the dealer and sent it to me. It says the date shipped, the shipping company, the name of the boat he's on, and the expected to arrive at port date.

I'm totally going to bust in and ask to hug my car before prep. I got to wander around the prep area at the dealership (their own allocated cars) when I was checking out options. I'm sure they'll let me meet my car ahead of time. I hope. *sniff*

My desperation stems from borrowing a friend's Jeep Wrangler Sport while we're down to a single car. It's SO not a Mini.

Any news on how quick it went through customs? have you picked it up yet?! Mine's coming in on the 15th and I'm trying to figure out my pick up timeframe.

I've been building, and daily driving, Jeep Wranglers for the last 9 years! This Mini is going to be total driving nirvana compared to my Jeeps!!
