Water temperature...

Guys what's ur usual water temperature on ur countryman??

Since when i've the scangauge i noticed that the water temperature is most of the time above 100°c/212°f (on highway is at 105°c/221°f)...
It never went over 221°f, but i think it's kinda strange.... my old car was most of the time at 90°c/194°f !!

Search the R55/57/57 boards...

lots of info and experience on this.

Your readings are correct. It's an electrically controlled thermostat, not an older internally actuated one, and capable of changing how far open it is in seconds, not minutes. Higher temps are more efficient as long as cooling system regulates properly. Again, there is info.--and more importantly much more experience than the <1 year CM life--here if you search.
