My Android phone and MINI Bluetooth (no Connected or Nav) works fine. I was amazed at the ease with which it sync'd to start with, including capturing my contacts. I had the dealer move the microphone to the left as part of their delivery prep - and that works well, too.

If I could get connected swapped out for a standard radio with bluetooth, I'd do it in an instant.

Why in the world would you say that?

I've had both (the connected with nav in my CM, and standard with BT in my R56) and thats like saying you'd prefer a 13" B&W TV over a 36" color LCD, the difference is night and day, I mean the standard radio with BT is borderline archaic, the display is one line and hard to read, it's basically offers very little, and takes years to program, or find a number in your phone book, plus the audio is barely audible. I bet your issue is either with your particular set-up, or would happen with the standard as well. Of course I have an iPhone so I've never had any issues with the BT not working in either.

All I want is my android bluetooth to stay connected to the connected system. It work(s)ed fine in my old Acura (2005 TL), a 2005 Jeep, a 2011 BMW 328i but not in my 2011 Mini Countryman with Connected. If it won't stay connected to one car but stays connected to 4 or 5 others, I'd say it's not the phone.

I have connected and NAV.

I have had no issues with my andriod phone staying connected to BT. However I disconnected it because I could hear everyone fine but everyone else complained they could not hear me. And I moved the BT speaker to the drivers side myself.

Same issues were seen in my 07MCS. So issues are with the system not the phone IMHO.

Just my 2cents.

I have Connected w/o Nav... I leave my iPhone BT on all the time.. I have had the car just over a month, it has always stayed paired.
I moved the mic over to the drivers side (the mic is directional, it has an arrow which should point to the front), no complaints from anyone I talk to unless I'm on a rough surface road...
I don't know where the BT antenna is for the MINI, I do know your body can block the signal.. I keep my phone in the front cup holder or in the center rail. If you wear your phone on your belt that could be interrupting the connection.

Plain and simple it is not working anywhere near as advertised.....
This guy sure sounds like the guy that used to post in the 2nd generation nav thread. Same wording as the other guy; class action...not as advertised. Probably just changed his screen name.

I haven't been on these boards for a very long time but am back because I ordered a Countryman. Some things never change.

Nope... Not me... I'm new to the MINI world. But to spend over a $1000 bucks for a product that isn't working is just not right.

ps ~ I don't even have the MINI connected radio. Not my fight....

Not me either...I so busy on switchback curves, in-n-out of traffic, and ignoring my GPS (Global Philipino Spokesperson).
