R60 Things you didn't know about your Countryman
Here's a question for you new CM owners...If you click unlock 3 times and hold it down on the remote, does it still open the windows and sunroof?
Does the convenience remote have a key that comes out of the remote?

What does clicking unlock 3 times do? My R53 and my wife's R55 both roll down the windows after a single press if you hold it.
Just realized it today, I have a USB port on the glove compartment. Looked online about it and it seems to be only for NAV/Connected updates only.
My USB thumb drive with music was not recognized in it.

Okay, so can someone please tell me how to set it so that when the car is in park, ALL 4 doors AND hatch unlock! It is frustrating when i get out and go to open another door or hatch and find that it is still locked?!?Help!?!?
That USB port is for software updates, supposedly.
If it's anything like my R53, it can be programmed to unlock all doors when you turn off the engine, but not when you put it in park.
This isn't technically something I didn't know, since I was aware of it as a feature, but tonight was my first time driving in the dark, and those adaptive headlights are really, really cool on windy back roads. I did not know how fun and helpful that would be.
That it didn't come with a boot floor, the dealers demo had one so I expected mine to come with one, I only found out today it didn't, anyone know if a boot floor can be retrofitted? Even the cheapest piece of crap from Korea has one, MINI I expected more.
Yea it does, maybe yours is in the up position where it doubles as the partition behind the rear seat (should see two release buttons and it will fold right down). If it's not they lost yours. The big complaint is you have to choose one position or the other. Hasn't really bothered me yet, more what my minds use too.
I'm guessing KiwiRob is in Australia, or maybe New Zealand, thats sucks ,not the location, the fact that they don't include the boot floor there. Every car here in the US has one, although we don't have the rear bench yet, so I wonder if thats the reason.
Yeah, I have the flat load floor, so I actually have two floor pieces that will lie on top of each other to cover the back recess or split to cover the back recess and provide a flat space when the rear bucket seats are folded forward. Kinda rockin.
From NZ, living in Norway, nope no boot floor, really gutted, I hope it can be added as a dealer fit option, without it the boot is pratically useless. It's really annoyed the hell out of me, I can't believe they would make an essential item optional.
. What is the build date on yours? Ours was built early February. My '11 MCS doesn't show a MINI on the Nave screen either and the build date on it is Feb 19th.Anyone show a MINI on the Nav screen?

Really angry...
Are there any notches on the upper corner of the boot area by the seats and a ledge along the back by the tailgate?? I have the double floor (fold flat) and bucket seats, but all the floor pieces are removable and slot into notches, so it may just be a matter of getting the piece and throwing it in there. You may even be able to guilt-trip the dealer out of one for free.
I have that. Instead of one panel that goes up against the back of the bucket seats or down the floor, I have two. I can lie them both on top of each other to cover just the back, or I can put one to cover the boot and one to cover the back of the seats, or, when I put the seats down—and this is the main point of it—I have a panel to cover the boot and a panel to go down and provide a flat area over the backs of the seats while they're down.
When you have it like that, the entire back the car is almost flat. There's a drop of like 3/4" from the front area to the back, and the panel doesn't go all the way up to the back of the front seats, but you mostly have a big flat area in the back.
I got it because I have two Golden Retrievers and I wanted a big back area for them. My Jeep spent about 90% of its life with the seats down and a big area for the dogs, so the ability to do that in this car was crucial.

tippy, can you please show some pics of that flat load floor all the way down. I ordered mine with it and wanted to know how it looks with the entire back all the way flat. I keep asking for pics but no one has put them up. Does the entire back lay flat? Or, do the back seats still have a slight slant like they do without the flat load floor? I got the option so that I could put my dog in the back and their wouldn't be a slant. It seems that the cushions on the sides of the seats wouldn't let the seats lay completely flat, but only allow them to lay flat-ish.
