I noticed yesterday that when you use the wipers in intermittent mode, a small "wiper icon" comes on in the lower right of the tach display window, but the icon does NOT show when the wipers are in any other mode.
I clay and then do a coat of polish or wax as soon as I can after getting a new car. The paint picks up all kinds of contaminants on the overseas trip and then on the truck in. On my most recent MINI I talked to Octane Guy to make sure things hadn't changed drastically since '05 when I got my previous MINI. He told me if I had the time then a clay and a coat of Epic was the way to go, so that's what I did. I got all kinds of gunk out when I did the first clay, so I'm guessing my time was well spent.

When the MINI's arrive to the dealership from the VPC+ship the bonnet, boot, roof and fenders are still covered in plastic wrap from the factory...

When you press the automatic wipers button, the wiper icon also shows in the same location. Interesting.

For those of us without automatic wipers, intermittent wipers are activated with the same end-of-stalk button push, which makes the icon's appearance in the tach pretty logical.
Chances are the icon is to remind you that your 'automatic wipers' are ON. It's not likely anyone with 'intermittent wipers' would forget they were on.
I discovered that when I installed my wife behind the steering wheel it caused a huge grin to display on her face. For some reason she enjoys driving the CM a WHOLE LOT more than her old Suburban
Can you set the blinker to 3 blinks on the regular CM or is it only an option for the CMS. We do not have the connect or anything fancy like that... we have minimal options.

LOL Mark, I have a feeling this is going to be me. Or so my husband keeps telling me! I can't wait til she gets here! I know I'll enjoy driving my CMS a lot more than my Pontiac.

That should work for any of the Countryman versions.
There are a bunch of videos on the OL (or maybe the miniusa site) that go over things about the cars and despite the horrible jokes are pretty informative! One of them is on the blinkers and howtochange the blink length. Im on my iPad so I cant check the sites, stupid no flash
My CMS is FINALLY on a boat, though I have no idea which one. If I were to guess, I'd guess a K-Line, because she's still not showing up on the WW site.
Our MA hasn't been the best at keeping in contact with us and from what I hear, everyone has different experiences with their MA's.
Oops. Wrong thread.

I am smiling while driving a LOT more. Go ahead people and try to tick me off, I'm so happy in my "pod" I'll just chill!
You will love it. The details take adjusting to--but the driving is instant fun. As everyone keeps saying, I know.

Take a look in your owner's manual. You can set it up under the setup / options menu accessible via the button at the end of the turn signal stalk. It should be available on all versions.

Thats what i've been following, word for word, and I cant seem to get it to work. The blinker symbol that the manual says should show up doesnt show up at all.

My sheet happiness of having a car that doesn't terrify me to drive is an indescribable feeling. I am so happy to be back in the Mini family it's out of control! Yay!
I don't know if this has been stated here or anywhere else but each door has a light on the underside. When you open the doors, it illuminates the ground so you don't step into puddles or something worse.
