Being this is our first Mini and we haven't received it yet I'll be the first to admit that it seems I have a lot to learn about the subtleties of the Mini's design and everything else about them.

That's why I'm here. People like you make this site the best. I also like the humorous comments from people like Sealy too. Really makes me LMAO sometimes.

We're all here for the same reason; As owners of these fine automobiles to share information and IMO there's no need to flame anybody, especially newbies, due to their lack of knowledge.

I love to dig in to everything mechanical that I own from my lawnmowers and weed whackers to my trucks and boats. I will always be glad to share my knowledge of anything in a friendly, kind and gentlemanly manner with others. Guaranteed.

Thanks again.

All the best to you and yours.

+1!
I appreciated your comments, as I am a newbie too. Learning a lot from current owners, while waiting. (And waiting...)

No prob .
I'm not mechanically inclined so I rely on visual cues to identify the different models. There are some people who have put an MCS bonnet on a non-S and those really throw me, but I eventually learned some other less obvious differences. Now I've ventured into the 2nd Gen and the CMs I'm basically starting all over.

Based on the fact that you sound like you ARE mechanically inclined, you'll be correcting me soon enough.

Annette

Here is a pic of the sides of the kit. The vehicle didn't have the front nor the rear portions installed.

The photos and videos of the WRC cars in development seem to show some serious protection under the vehicles - most visible in the jumps. It will be interesting to see what leaks out to the consumer audience for protection under my All4.

For as much as the MINI optic kit costs, you would think you could get quite a good underbody plate going with some kind of nice design elements in the front
